Eu4 ironman steam save

I recently bought a laptop, and downloaded eu4 on it. I played a bit of a current game, then went back to my computer, and played that. I came back to my laptop, and it hasn't synchronised. Why is this? Please help

Just to be clear - you started and played a game on Computer A, and saved it to the cloud. Then you continued that same save game on Computer B, and again saved it to the cloud. Now when you go to load the game on Computer A, it's as it was when you last saved it on A?

Steam synchonises games to the Cloud on game exit, so when you quit EU4. I suppose if you left EU4 open on Computer B, that would explain it - is that possible?

I'm having the same kind of troubles.
I used computer A last vacations, then got back home and played on computer B for like a month or two. Then got back to computer A and the files on the Cloud are the same as last time I played on computer A.

I tried to erase local files then re-install game, I checked cache integrity but all for nothing : it seemed that the game has replaced cloud saves by local saves without even asking me and I cannot find a way to force-compare files. I cannot check on computer B how it works for it is hundreds of kilometers away ; but I'm sure it's not turned on so neither is EU4.

I played an ironman on computer A, then played it on B. I went back to A, it was all fine, then I went to computer B again, but computer B only saved its own game progress. I've deleted and reinstalled eu4 on computer B, and it's still not been synced

The local cache of the cloud saves will not be affected by an EU4 reinstall. So try this on computer B please:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-EU4
- exit Steam
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox/EU4
- manually delete everything in the Steam folder EXCEPT steam.exe and the /SteamApps/ folder
- manually run steam.exe and let it rebuild everything
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

Hi,

I've tried a clean reinstall two days ago but forgot the directory in steamApps. Now I've made a clean reinstall deleting both directories in SteamApps and documents. Still, Iv'e got an old version of saves on the cloud.

So once again deleted everything as you said and then re-installing everything but still, old version.

I tried today to open EU4 on another computer, I don't see there files as they should be on computer A but as they are on computer B. So, as long as I'm away from computer A I think I'll have to deal with it and then use local files on computer A to rewrite the cloud. Hoping this time they'll ask me to do that or I'll be stuck two months backwards...
