EU4 - How do you play - August 2015 Edition

Johann/Wiz, since the stats show that people like both mods and iroman mode, what about the "copper-man" mode that will allow to play mods on ironman settings (basically ironman without achievements)? This is a long time request supported by the stats you just gave and would make a lot of people happy.

I guess it is lower in reality, because you don't need an internet connection to play without ironman, so stats are not recorded. The main reason why I don't often play ironman is because I can't rely on a stable internet connection.

I apologize. I inflate the stats by starting an ironman game every patch to see if it's still ridiculously slow. I should just assume that's the case from now on.

I always play ironman and I am more often offline than online while doing so.

I don't speak a word of the language but totally use Russian localization and font in all my games.

Really? If I happen to be offline when an automatic save is required, I got a message asking me to refresh. I usually have to wait 30 secs after the connection comes back to have the refresh button working. It's really annoying to play in these conditions, even if I love Ironman.

I think he is somewhat annoyed by how some people hyperbolize the unreliability of statistics to criticize his game design which I've witnessed quite a few times in last months.

Perhaps one of the reasons that those mods don't get over 1% is that they are not compatible with Ironmode.

I am one of the players who only uses Ironmode

A more likely reason why VeF's number is so low is that it has not been updated in a while and therefore is not compatible with the latest EU IV versions. Just a though.t

Do you use the cloud or the local save? The local save is easily twice as fast and exponentially more stable for me.
