Hey, can someone tell me what's the exact! difference between world conquest and world domination?
Is "world conquest" still possible with those colonial nations?
My current game is in 1666 and I expect less than 50 years to go for either of the two. However if world conquest isn't possible I could be 10-15 years faster if I knew so.

WC is still possible with CNs (as you can see from the screenshot currently used as the record). Uncertain though if the keeper of the records requires that the CNs be formed by you rather rather than inherited.

If you can get it, it'd be nice to bump out the likely fake currently holding the record.

Hm why do you think its a fake? I find irritating that he has full monarch points the moment he got the WC as well as ALL CN's being formed by him.

However if you go for a WC you always have to get your hands somewhat dirty..

The most damning argument is that his high score indicates that he reached #1 in score in all 3 categories in 40 years.

Well that as well. I would call it console. With my ming conquest I didnt even get #1 in score when I finished the domination but that was mainly as a subject nation. However going for a WC means #1 in admin and mil relatively fast but It takes forever to get #1 in diplo rating.

He also claimed he conquered Ming in 40 years.

With constant truce-breaking, I can have Ming fully annexed in 100 years as Manchu, which starts much stronger than Ryukyu. I don't like to point fingers or assume someone is cheating, but #1/#1/#1 score income within the first 10-20 years and conquering Ming in 40 in 1.6 or 1.7 just isn't something that happens. Each war vs Ming is a few years just to get the occupations and war score needed to take 100% or close.

I inherited one so I would have to break and reconqer it. However I am likely to get more.

DLCs: Conquest of paradise, Res Publica, Wealth of nations
Game mode: Ironman
Completion in game: 28th of December 1706

If overseas protectorates/vassals count towards world conquest I will have a world conquest submission 1 day later^^. Otherwise I will just kill micmaq and that Maya province and probably lose just the time for that siege and the diplomats. I need a clear answer on my previous post however before I can do that.

All protectorates, PUs and vassals count. World conquest means every settled province belongs to you or one of your subjects*.
*: subjects of subjects are problematic, afaik (like protectorates of your colonial nations)

You can do the missions multiple times with some setup. Merc is capped at 200% bonus to provinces (IE 100% mercantilism). That's probably why there isn't an entry, same thing with minimum tech cost.

World conquest is being the only nation remaining. Domination is having no countries in the world that are fully independent. (For example, you can have PUs in a domination but not a conquest.

Actually that is just a map bug that causes the names of those old colonies to appear when zoomed out. He is the only nation left, evidenced by the fact he is using diplo map type.

Though it is certainly a possiblity that he has cheated, I must take him for his word. If you do not believe then try knocking him off the records yourself. Unless someone produces valid, clear evidence that he has cheated my hands are tied.

Anyways, sorry for not replying to this thread in over a month. Balancing 4 AP classes as well as a soccer season makes tings very difficult. I'll keep better track from now on, as soccer is just about over.

Its always nice to compete with the best (im an old civilization addict and used to some other HOF tables in another forum).

Just popped in to drop an idea. I know this is an individual effort to maintain all these records, but i thought to say it anyway. (I would love to see some nice HOF tables from the official moderators of this forum).

How about everyone could upload their record (final end score i guess) for specific countries ? For example, best score played as byzantium or naples etc. So, we could try to get the best out of our favorite country each time we start a new game and compete for the best end score.

I think that having a separate thread for this would be best.
