Ironman - No.
Yup.
Rules:
5. Ironman mode is not required
As an aside, sorry for my absence again. I'll keep a closer eye on things going on here from now on.
Edit: I have updated all records. Please notify me of any negligence on my part.
Kingepyon could just run down the clock on his Ryukyu WC to achieve somewhere around 27530 by endgame, which back-translates into a #1/#1/#1 Ironman Ryukyu within 10 years or so, starting from nothing. How one achieves such a meteoric rise is still well beyond me!
Personally, I think you should make Ironman required, there'll be people who just can't resist cheating for this.
Before anything, let me say that due to the responses, all records now require Ironman to be on!
There are quite a few reasons that submission is fishy, and you're pointing out yet another one.
Even if one were to actually accomplish the absurd assertion of conquering Ming within 40 years, that still wouldn't be good enough for #1/#1/#1.
Sorry, but people need to submit their own records. Otherwise this might be put it.At 18:35 in quill18's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKchNLrA7XM ,we see that his giant battle had 18 participants.
Maybe it would have been better for it to be ironman only, but since hald the records in here are from normal games, I don't think that it can be changed now. Plus, anyone who is desperate enough to cheat on the normal games to get a record will likely also cheat on Ironman to get a record as well, so there isn't really much difference.Personally, I think you should make Ironman required, there'll be people who just can't resist cheating for this.
Actually they post you quoted was from the opening days of the thread, when the rules were still being decided upon. A little bit after I posted that, people complained about Ironman, and so I changed it back to all games are fine.Don't they already?
Edit: granted, Ironman can be cheated in too, but would requires quite a bit more dedication.

Good job with your scores, first of all!Hi xSalient! It's not quite the theoretical cap, but it's close. I'd done a rough approximation of the score curve and I think the max is somewhere around 27700, but that tally is misleading as you're guaranteed to bleed some points due to initial circumstances. The score above involved #1 Adm and #1 Mili within about 5 years (and high rankings for the whole duration), and #1 Diplo within 20 years (overcoming the 'Strong Allies' diplomatic bonus of small rivals takes, for me, the longest to achieve). I am quite sure the score is beatable and might revisit it myself, though at this juncture it's largely down to luck in the opening decade and avoiding the occasional dips from pole position to second rank in the first century.
Incidentally as Zwireq points out, Ironman vs Non-Ironman is a whole different ballgame... I'd have no objection to a separate score record being kept for Ironman playthroughs. My 26318 Ironman playthrough felt way more intense than the recent non-Iron ones, even if it wouldn't strictly be the record. Being at 16220 in Feb 1750, Kingepyon could just run down the clock on his Ryukyu WC to achieve somewhere around 27530 by endgame, which back-translates into a #1/#1/#1 Ironman Ryukyu within 10 years or so, starting from nothing. There doesn't seem to be a record for highest Mercantilism, so I'm just going to post this here and hope for the best. I don't actually know if this is as absurdly high as I think it is, but I'm certainly proud of myself:

Really? I haven't read anything about a cap on the EU4 wiki... that's unfortunate.100% is the cap.

Those missions are why my Mercantilism is so high to begin with. I got some random events that were supposed to increase it by 1, but they didn't seem to do anything, though... I suppose it makes sense to not be able to go over 100%.I think so. If you still have one of those 10% Mercanitilism missions, try it and see if you go over.

Almost 12 000 points as Commonwealth. Satisfied. Especially since I have nice borders, exact country I wanted to create (I hate world conquests) and well this was my first Polish game in EU4 and first game after few months
