I think keeping separate "all-time" and "current patch" records might work well.

They should just be reset at 1.4/CoP. I mean, even for Notable Battles, my Battle of Breslau was pretty notable in 1.2 due to the very slow combat and low casualties, but it's nearly run of the mill in 1.3 late game. Or better yet, start a new thread and ditch this dying 38-page behemoth.

I'd like to suggest a new type of record: the most vassals and the largest HRE membership.

eu4_15.png

72 imperial princes, in the order of icons:
Bosnia, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Wallachia, Prussia, Corsica, Guyenne, Provence, Aachen, Anhalt, Augsburg, Bohemia, Brandenburg, Braunschweig
Austria, Hesse, Cologne, Sachsen-Lauenburg, Lothringia, Luneburg, Mainz, Munster, Palatinate, Pomerania, Salzburg, Switzerland, Thuringia, Trier, Ulm
Wurzburg, Wurtenberg, Navarra, Galicia, Ferrara, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Papal, Saoy, Siena, Tuscany, Netherlands, Crimea, Georgia
Golden Horde, Kazan, Pskov, Russia, Sibir, Polotsk, Yemen, Najd, Syria, Morocco, Ashanti, Ethiopia, Mali, Songhai
Swahili, Mutapa, Hausa, Kanem Bornu, Oyo, Mongol Khanate, Manchus, Oirat Horde, Baluchistan, Mewar, Sindh, Hausa.

eu4_16.png

13 non-imperial vassals: Sweden, Scotland, United States, Brittany, Castille, Granada, Ukraine, Tripoli, Tibet, Zhou, Gujarat, Nepal, Punjab.

eu4_14.png

Complete list in one screenshot. I haven't counted from this screen, but it should probably add up unless there's a bug of some kind.

Total sum: 84 vassals, as Ethiopia. Game began in 1.2.x and ended in 1.3.x.

I'd love to see my betters creating an even awesomer and cosmopolitan HRE. :) The background is the coalition, other than a couple of revolt states (Haiti, Louisiana and Brazil) the rest of the world is either 'in' the Empire or 'in' the coalition.

Maybe I should challenge highest vassal income as well? That actually is my primary income in this game... IIRC.
Well I decided to just put in the record for most vassal for now. I also only included the countries that counted towards your vassal count, i.e. the 13 nations that weren't in the HRE. Sorry, but including the whole HRE to the count is rather unfair.
I didn't put in the record for most nations in the HRE because I felt that it just comprised releasing a bunch of vassal. Though if you can provide an argument against that I would be happy to put it in as well.
One more thing, when posting your images, make sure the imgs are capitalized, otherwise it will not work. Also, you can easily use the insert image button located with the other tools at the top of your message posting box.
I would like to suggest separating the records for HRE from others for fastest world conquest / largest number of provinces, as the current HRE mechanics makes a lot of difference to a conquest-oriented campaign. I have sort of a personal agenda here, so I would like to ask for the opinion of others.
Well, if several people wawnt this then I would be happy to do it, but I don't want to set a precedent where people will say that one country is better than others at one of the records, and keep requesting a separate record for that nation.
I think keeping separate "all-time" and "current patch" records might work well.
Thanks for the reply. It helps to see people respond with what they prefer as a solution.

Yeah, that is a rather good idea. Making a new thread would be rather helpful, seeing as people might become disoriented if I just kept both records in this thread.
Thanks for suggesting that; as of now it seems like the most promising possiblity. Though I won't actually anything for a couple more weeks at the very least, so as to give people time to reply should they wish to do so.

Well, it all comes down to releasing a bunch of vassals, yes. The target territory must be cored, converted (if originally not Christian) and added to the HRE by being adjacent to the other HRE province before being released, so in other words... all the newly-added not-originally-HRE vassals have been conquests at one moment. The point of the proposal was that pushing the HRE membership ridiculously high could be an interesting challenge in itself, and (ab)using the HRE this way is actually a really nice way of expansion that makes warfare and further vassal feeding of conquered provinces that much easier.

But that said, simply the largest number of regular vassals could be topped by anyone with WC or reasonably close to WC as well, say, on the last day of the game. (Can I just click the last reform, release everyone again and claim 84? That sounds more cheaty) Maxing the HRE membership, on the other hand, is something you need to do as you play the game, paying attention to save as many cores as possible before they disappear, so I think it could be a challenge by itself. But I'll let you judge.

added: as Ethiopia, not as HRE. I never did the Renovatio Imperii.

How about biggest rebel stack? I submit to your approval:

eu4_2.png

That's 128000+ rebels in Kent

and if any devs are looking - though this game was before any patches I think - wouldn't it make more sense if all the pretender rebels were fighting each other? (though I suppose they could all be pressing one pretender's claim, and hve several generals)

anyway 128000 rebels is worthy of hall of fame I think. Though it carries no personal achievement on my part.

well, i am claiming the discipline one. (191%) it's not maxed out, as it can go 10% higher, but i never got lucky enough. this is done by playing Sweden into Gustav Adolf reforms, then annex Prussia, change capital to somewhere Prussia, loose states until you can change primary culture to Prussian, to form Prussia from Swedish ashes.
