By trading from California all the way to Antwerp. The trade route listed in this thread, to be exact

Aside from that, you just gotta conquer/colonize as much provinces alongside that trade-route. California, mexico, Nipon and Beijing get priority. Then you build manufactures in them, and as many lvl 3 trade/production buildings as your monarch points allow you too. Then build a huge trade fleet to defend all those trade notes. In my attempt I had a fleet of over 7145 ships in 1800(when I lost the east-indies buff).

This is so cool :) Can I get a save game or a political mapmode screenie from your trade record game? I rearranged the fleets and merchants in my GB game and 250-300 became 1000-1500 instantly, but now I want to start a new game with Portugal or The Netherlands to go for a trade record and a save or a political screenie from you would help a bit :)

BTW are they gonna fix this or is it "working as intended"? Not that you could do much with that kind of money

May I suggest some additional records?
1)Shortest Siege
2)Most Warscore Lost from one land battle
3)Most Warscore Lost from one naval battle
4)Most Casualties sustained from one land battle

Just came up with this as I was playing...
5)Longest fabricate claim (check by a screenshot of the mouse hovering over the diplomat doing his thing as close to 99.99% as the player can get)

Shortest siege was already rejected since it would be 1 day by many people, and I don't think longest fabricate claim would be very appropriate.
Warscore lost is possible, but I think it is too similar to warscore gained to add.
However, most casualties sustained sounds like a decent idea. When I check back tomorrow, I'll think about adding it in more.

Just saw that you're tracking most personal unions. Too bad I didn't keep France and Naples around or I would have had 2 more. Ironman, fwiw.

Highest inflation should be removed imo. By spamming loans you can get so much inflation quickly, with swahili it's probably possible to get over 100 inflation without even unpausing

You'll accept non-ironman games? I dunno........ Ironman (at least medium difficulty, lucky nations is always enabled) is very different from non-Ironman (reloading possible, can be easy difficulty, can have lucky nations off, can have player bonus). Not comparable at all.

This. In my opinion, records are pointless unless done in Ironman...

My Netherlands record is certainly beatable; but the Commonwealth one might be just about as good as you can do, I dunno. It certainly involves hiring Nicolas Copernicus.

I unified Spain in 1451, if the "unified" definition means made the unification, but not the absorbtion of Aragon. I won't be able to do that until March (I think) of 1501. I should be able to find proof despite it being an Ironman game by hovering over the "integrate" tab and showing that it won't be usable until 1501, fifty years after the union was formed. Be back in a moment with the screenshot.

Several screenshots are below to show that I did in fact unify Spain in 1453, not 1451. I remember that I wanted to finish the Reconquista before forming Spain in case there was a mission to form Spain. I could have formed it in 1451, but I formed it on February 11, 1453. I have screenshots to prove both.

First, for anyone who wants proof that I'm talking about Spain and for a look at the immediate political situation (note that I am also senior partner in a union with Portugal):

8eep.jpg

Next, proof of the date that the personal union began, April 1, 1451:

72j1.jpg

Next, a photo proving that Madrid became a core of Spain on February 11, 1453:

ghl2.jpg

And finally, a photo that shows you how I was lucky enough to do that:

p7wn.jpg

As you can clearly see above, Juan II died just a few weeks into the game, to be succeeded by the 0/0/0 monarch Enrique IV, who thankfully died in March of 1451, less than seven years later, succeeded by a woman, Maria I. The Iberian wedding event fired barely two weeks into her reign, and thus the unification happened. The only reason the unification didn't happen until 1453 was that I wanted to finish the reconquista, to see if there was a "Form Spanish Nation" mission, but if there is, it wasn't available.

EDIT: Is there an "oldest ruler?" record? Because the King of Aragon, who is my character (María I)'s husband, is 97. The only way I know that is that he is the ruler of Naples as well. I think that would also make him the longest ruling monarch, but of course, he's AI, not an actual human, so unless it counts, I won't submit it. I'll take a screenshot just in case when I start up again tonight.

A quick Spain formation, but this is more by luck than by personal effort. You were lucky with the female ruler that soon.
