Eu4 failed to create a graphics device and stutter

So now when i finaly got 1.29 to work with mods but now it start sto stutter like hell, it worked perfect in 1.28 so its weird its acting up now, i even have the mod Fast eu4 that makes the unit models simple arrows to make it run even better. And now out of no were when i quit the game i got Eu4 failed to create a graphics device saying my GTX 1070 can't render 3d models. Whats going on now? No matter if im window mode, repair game, lowst settings and no mods on. Did you guys break the game so if can't detect my gpu and makes it use my onboard one? Because it would be the only game i have that would do it then,

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/EU4/settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/EU4/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

No visible problem in there I'm afraid. Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox/EU4 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.

How come all solutions is "Delete game and repair" and surprise surprise, still laggy/stuttery, no mods, fresh install, settings to the lowest.

I don't see any sign of an onboard video system in there, just an nVidia 1070. Are you saying there's also an Intel video with no driver installed? If so that can be a problem; it needs to be disabled in Bios or a driver installed.

Normally I'd suggest running in fullScreen mode but I doubt that's the problem here.

If you revert to 1.28.3 in the Steam Betas tab for this game, does it then run like it used to? Or still have this issue?

Im not sure if i have onboard graphics, but i havent instaled any drivers for something like that thats for sure. All i know is i once that problem before when i had to tell my pc to use gpu instead of that imaginary onboard one but that was for another game so it could just been that. And when i go back to 1.28.3 it all runs perfect.

I see. Where did you have to go to tell it that? Was it in the game, the video driver or associated utilities, in Windows?

It was inside a game telling me my gpu couldnt render 3d things so I had to update gpu drivers and go in somewere in Device Management and do something. But since 1.28.3 works perfectly fine i don't think it has to do anything with.

I see, I guess we should discount that theory then.

Which doesn't leave much; while 1.29.x has had it's problems this is not one of the widespread omnes! Not on Windows anyway, we see some reports of performance issues on Macs with Intel video systems that are not relevant to you.

Does it help at all to go into fullScreen mode instead of borderless?

Do CK2, HOI4 and Stellaris still run okay on this machine?

Fullscreen is the same, i tried Stellaris on max graphic and full speed, perfect frames. I dont have CK2 installed but HOI4 was the same, no stuttering.

Unfortunately we don't seem to have a way in EU4 any more of seeing what video system the game detects; it used to be in system.log .

Your video card is fine of course, so I can only guess this is an installation issue with its driver.

- uninstall the existing nVidia driver
- reboot
- install the latest one by fresh download from here:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
- reboot again

I did that and nothing, i guess i just wait for whenever next patch comes out and hope it fixes this or this game is a brick for me
