EU4 Error on M1 MacOS Big Sur - Epic Games

I use base model M1 Macbook Air. I see that many people are able to run EU4 on M1 using Rosetta. However, I failed to do so in Epic Games Launcher.

The error is below and any help is welcome.

To fix this you need to flag our launcher installer launcher-installer-macos to be executable. To do this open the Terminal utility in your Mac and type chmod 755 then hit the space bar. Then drag that file from where Epic installed it (by default /Users/Shared/Epic Games/EuropaUniversalis4/) and drop it on that terminal utility, and hit Enter to make that change. Then run the game from Epic, it should then install.

I've found the solution somewhere in the forum, and it was the same as @AndrewT's solution. Thanks!

When i do that it says "command not found" What should I do? (I'm trying to play in MacOs Mojave)
Edit: I just realized I wasn't typing the space between "chmod" and "755". Now it works, I feel so dumb hahahaha

Not at all, no. You've tried to make a folder executable which cannot ever do anything. The FILE we are trying to flag as an executable is launcher-installer-macos

It is by default in /Users/Shared/Epic Games/EuropaUniversalis4/ but you may have installed Epic elsewhere for all we know.

In Finder do command-shift-G (ie Go To) and paste in /Users/Shared/Epic Games/EuropaUniversalis4/ , it will take you right there.

I'm not sure I can describe it any more clearly than that. What exactly is not working for you? Does command-shift-G bring up the Go To dialog in Finder?

If so just copy and paste /Users/Shared/Epic Games/EuropaUniversalis4/ , it will take you right there. It works, I just tested it again!

That should do it, although the drag-and-drop way I described originally is a lot easier - usually!
