Will Totemist religion get expanded? I can see religion getting tied into the reforms somewhat? E.g. Totemist having various bonuses to choose from (let's call them Omens), like faster reforms, or cheaper migration or other bonuses and perhaps some unique building to build, while Old World religions would give bonus to government progress based on religious unity and religion of neighbouring nations (same religion neighbours helping a bit).

The least part of the game has improved is the colonization part. Ironically.

If we are about to get some more features regarding migration&colonisation it will be quite fun to play as a colonist nation once again

Wouldn't it be great if native armies could walk anywhere within their territory?

The idea of native armies materializing out of the forest to hit colonizers and the disappearing back into uncolonized territory where the European armies can't pursue them sounds so tantalizing...

The Groogy train just doesn't stop ! I love how you don't shy away from modifying existing stuff from the ground up. Keep it up man ! Hyped as hell to see the rest of the things you'd like to share with us !

Just want to add a quick question though, do you plan to do a quick debrief of the Emperor release ? You added a ton of new features, most of them being very interesting, a few of them being, to my opinion at least, a tiny bit under-used (like the revolution mechanics, while very very VERY promising, felt a bit lackluster playing through it - I won't expand here why, I could do it on a dedicated post if you're interested). There were also some bugs associated with the release which are under the process of being fixed, a quick follow up on that could also be nice. All in all, it would be nice to have your view on how it went and how you plan to expand on all of the innovative features you introduced/revamped for this DLC.

Cheers and thanks a lot for the dev diary ! Looking forward for the next ones !

Will the new reform government mechanic apply to the Inca, Maya and Aztec too? It would be cool if the Europeans could encounter a more developed nation in America, although it probably will never happen if not a player intervenes and plays them.

Don’t u have any plan to encourage European colonial powers make colonies at historical region?
It’s meaningless if they make colony at trade node region which is not connected to their home trade node. Like Spain makes colony at Canada or Northeast america which is not related to Sevilia node.

I would really love if there would be more north american tribes events, so the playing as tribe would feel more unique

While you stay in a single province the tribe will be causing devastation in that province, until it eventually reaches a 100%.
The larger the tribe is, the faster the devastation goes up to simulate their increased consumption.
With new migration, you can't get big tribes?
If you have 5-6 province tribe, will it literally devastate the land like locust swarm?
How devastation is reduced? In real life the land will recover during 1-3 years, but in game terms 100% devastation is decades to wear down statically?
Without forts and stability is development the only way to reduce devastation?

If tribe is a player, do Europeans arrive at devastated land with one big blob, that can't stop devastating?
If devastation is reduced by reforms, how will AI handle it?

I've never played North America (except from Colonizing it), but those change could make it a bit more interesting. Of course, i dont want to see a "European states of Meso America", but a different way to play, a nice what if of what could have happened. That's a lot of work , but im sure you dude can do it :)

Ohhh, I like that empty border thing. Actually would be nice for colonies being built to tell these from settled lands too, or other colonial claims (hmmm... always one colonist at least but making Exploration / Expansion able to create colonial claims on empty lands... this gives ideas...)

Currently my main aim is to get Mississippi in, but if I have more time I can try.
Lately I was thinking in write a topic in suggestions sub-forum about possible tags relevants for the historical period in south america because sometimes research material can be a little hard to find in english but are easy to find in spanish or portuguese, I will try write something later to help in case there is time to update south america.

What a surprise! I first played EU4 during the Conquest of Paradise so having a CoP rework while also have SEA update is a very big and pleasant surprise.

Okay, speaking of America, will the Lima Trade Node be connected to Polynesian Triangle?
Currently there is no incentive for Asian power to colonize South America because unlike North and Central America, you can't gain optimum trade income from colonies in SA. And if you have El Dorado, you can't get treasure fleet. Having Lima flow into Polynesian Triangle would easily eliminate this issue.

I don't like how the Iroquois were changed. Why is only a strip of territory roughly corresponding with the Onondaga properly owned? What about the Cayuga, the Mohawk, the Oneida and the Seneca?

Can you guys tie reform progress points to advisors and buildings like university? Its weird how reform points can be only obtained through autonomy.

I don't like how the Iroquois were changed. Why is only a strip of territory roughly corresponding with the Onondaga properly owned? What about the Cayuga, the Mohawk, the Oneida and the Seneca?
Groogy mentioned that Federation got reworked too, so I hope this mean Iroquois will be split in to the five-six nations that comprised it.

I made a custom nation - a Western, Catholic OPM in Newfoundland called Vínland - and these well-developed American Indian mechanics will go well with that game!
