That'd be cool to an extent, though I think having provinces that were directly conquered from native tags remain with the native cultures unless actively converted makes the most sense. It'd almost represent reservations.

Well of course there would need to be no seperatism. Then as well as that the area should be stated. Then there can be reservations - unstated land.

"Just Around the Riverbend", "Head of Navigation" and "Powhatan Fleet" are all focused on the naval power of the Powhatan tribe, so building to Naval Force Limit, and having enough transports and a flagship will reward you with Ship Durability, Morale of the Navy, National Sailors Modifier, and some Navy Tradition, apart from a Admiral with 80 Tradition when completing the last mission.

With both the increase in the number of tags and the filling out of previously 'empty' provinces in both NA and SEA, will there be new uncolonised provinces added in these regions to compensate the implicit nerfing of colonising in these areas (via colonists)?

There should be some modifiers for any NA civs that have great plains provinces once Europeans arrive to reflect the very drastic lifestyle change that occurred, transitioning from agriculture+foot hunting to a lifestyle nearly 100% focused on horseback hunting and trade with agricultural communities on the edges of the plains.

Why IS that needed? Natives are fodder even to the AI. The changes are to make them more fun to play as. Not to create 50 province AI Cherokee.

Good morning, everyone! Today we're back at North America taking a look at some of the remaining interesting tags in terms of missions and events.

To begin with, we have the Pueblo tribes, in the actual New Mexico region. The tags we have for them are Isleta, Acoma, Zuni, Zia and Ohkay Owingeh. They lived in adobe or stone villages, and were mainly interested in agriculture, specifically maize. They were descendants of the Mogollon Culture, the Hohokam Culture, and the Ancestral Pueblo people, who inhabited the village of Mesa Verde, where a spectacular cliff palace can be seen.

Spectacular cliff palaces, plural. I've been there, and the multiple cliff dwellings, along with hundreds of other ruins and excavations, are all truly amazing.

Colonizing requires explicit nerfs as it is, no need to compensate for implicit ones.

Good to see another update in the pipeline. Looks like most areas of the world are getting some needed touchups - Africa needs some more love though. All the same, I can't help but think that EU4 development might be ending. CK2 got a similar touch-up before they pulled the plug.

you'll get local trade power and production efficiency to your capital, in case you manage to achieve an alliance with France while they own any province in the North America super-region.

I understand it is debatable where EU4 should fall on the scale of sandboxiness and of following real history - but what if France is not doing well? Maybe this could instead be triggered by any great power in the super-region. Or any great power not England/GB. Or any non-native non-colonial colonizer with at least N development.

This is already a thing for Newfoundland (all three provinces have a 100% chance of spawning fish, and will get +2 goods produced until the end of the game), so I don't see why not.

If this gonna happens is good because them when they launch the next game they already have this history,events and tags. Just copy and paste.

Because the world gets colonised too fast already as is - reducing the number of provinces you can't just invade makes this problem worse.

In what way does it need nerfing? Like, specifically what's wrong with it? (Aside from the world-filling-up problem I mean).

You guys wouldn't be happening to add more colonial cultures would you? AFAIK we only have American for the british group, and then Mexican/Brazilian for the iberian group.

For example, we could have:
-British Group: American (for lower North America) and Canadian (for upper North America), as well as Australian for the Australia region.
-French Group: Quebecois, and maybe something to represent the people of the Louisiana area/caribbean
-Iberian Group: Colombian, Peruvian, and Patagonian could all flesh out a MASSIVE region of the world typically colonized in game by spain/portugal and give more than Mexican and Brazilian cultures. I know this is low on a list of priorities, but it was a thought I had over some past games of mine.
