Awsome to see a lot of new tags and a more intresting Spice islands game. But we still got a lot of unadressed bugs. Should that not take priority ?
I said this in the previous dev diary and I'll say it again: game developers are not interchangable and have specialized roles and skillsets. I am not a programmer so I don't and can't fix code bugs. Team members who can fix code bugs are on vacation, and Tinto is still assembling its team.

I'm honestly really, really happy to see Indonesia getting a proper expansion. It has been my favorite region in-game from the very moment I started playing it, but over past years it gradually became worse and worse as other regions received vast array of buffs and Indonesia remained nearly unchanged. Thanks @neondt for all your hard work.


When can we expect some update on ideasets and/or special govt reforms for Indonesian nations?
In future dev diaries. There are several nations that really need unique ideas, like Malacca, and some that deserve a revision to their existing set, like Ayutthaya. There will be a few new and/or revised government reforms as well.

2. Does Lampung have some province modifiers like "Spice Islands" which is in Ternate or Tidore?
3. Is there any strait between Blambangan and Bali?

Yes, yes, no, and I'm not sure what you're refferring to - the Brunei Civil War maybe?

Any plans to change the philippines at all? Also, will there be a way to colonise bengkulu and south borneo through missions if you don't end up taking expansion/exploration? Other than that the changes look really good, will certainly make SEA more interesting to play in.
The coast of the Philippines is now inland sea, but I'm not planning on changing the map setup in the region beyond that. It's a little out of scope.

Brunei at least will have a way to colonize the rest of Borneo through its mission tree.

Will you create Southeast Asian technology group? Because Southeast Asians don't look like Chinese or have similar culture to Chinese
I don't see a need to make a new technology group for SEA. Would be a lot of work for no real gain. The Chinese group serves its purpose in SEA, though in my opinion technology groups are an arbitrary relic of the past.

I think this mechanic is a interesting addition and would love to see this applied to the Mandate of Heaven, giving you the choice to create your own Dynasty when you take it. Is this something you would consider implementing?
I'm going to implement this in one specific case but in general no.

This could be applied to a lot of countries to make them look 'proper' without having to design a new tag. I hope it becomes even more widespread.

As for more trade goods: Why do people even care that there are going to be more specific goods? As someone else said, the way trade was set up before, it was almost always the case that conquering the world was THE only reasonable way to dominate trade. This way value is placed on certain places in particular more than others much like IRL. IMO unique trade goods is way more interesting playing as a colonial power than a big "spice islands" trade bonus.

Will Ternate and Tidore still have to culture shift to form Malaya?
Nope, they're in the Malay group now.
