I love the merc changes, their inclusion into the army templates especially. I presume you could also make "mixed" armies (both mercs and recruited regiments) from the planner, which is something quite useful.

Could it be possible to choose which culture is spread by a colonist, for example settling exclusively welsh settlers in Patagonia?
Oh this one would be awesome, Basques in Newfoundland, Scots in Columbia, Spanish ethnicities split everywhere in America (Castillan in Mexico, Galician in Texas, Catalan in the Caribbean,...). This should probably be a culture group thingy. :)

Cheers for the DD Wiz, looks tops :). Appreciate the deeper culture mechanics (and the discount for adjacency) and the changes to mercs - being able to combine the two in templates will be a great quality-of-life thing, and the merc cap sounds like it'll make good sense and make raising mercenaries more predictable.

Also, the custom king in the DD is desperately needed by Sweden in my current 'world' - Denmark's on a rampage!

When culture changing, is it possible to convert to cultures within your cultural union, because at the moment it feels ridiculous culture converting the Orkney and Shetlands islands to English, when in reality they are Scottish and Scotland will never get a chance in game, as Norway always survives on Iceland long before you form GB.
The same thing goes for Byzantium, as your left with a ton of Greek provinces and loads of accepted Turkish provinces and only a handful of Gothic and Pontic provinces
Also, shouldn't Inca be in cultural union with all Andean cultures, rather being forced to culture convert everything in your path, and when colonization takes place maybe the province that is under colonization, should take the accepted culture of the port or province that is closest to it?

2)Is the culture getting more flexible to get events changing it?

There should be an option for canals that when activated taxes any nation whos navy is passing through it

If you do not own the canal and click on the province behind it there should be a notification simular to the notification asking if you want to use auto-transport: "Do you wish to pay the canal fine?(Yes),(No)" Or something along those lines

Perhaps another feature is canal VIP's, You can add anyone to your canal as a VIP, VIP's pay no canal tax
If you do not own the canal and the owner is a rival or hostile towards you, You should be able to establish yourself as a canal VIP in a peace deal if however you go to war again then your canal VIP status is cancelled

This would be a great idea because it can help pay off your canal investment and is very realistic.

awesome new stuff but is the view of the troops with "16,0k" and "1,0k" optional? i liked the old view more - but anyway even if u want the K so much in it could you please turn it to "16k" instead of "16,0k"? 15,9k; 15,8k would be fine but "x,0k"?!

That's disappointing, on-demand culture conversion was one of the worst changes from EU3 to EU4. I had hoped we'd eventually have minority cultures added to provinces, and some mechanics simulating how 'culture conversion' actually happened. Adding more options to the menu only makes it less realistic/historically accurate.

Another thing that would be nice is seeing a more province thick scandanavia, Even if some provinces have to be dropped to 1 base tax

additionally the british isles(especially ireland)

Sadly russia is gonna slaughter all the cultures (which again sadly, is soo true)

Kind of disappointed that the "dynastic mechanism" is only heir name modification. :(

A system of "Heir & Spare" , displaying the current heir and his potential replacement (if he exists), would be basic but already a step in the right direction: Do you really send a medic to heal your crappy heir when the Spare is awesome (or the other way around)? Do you put your heir in charge of the military when the spare is a decrepit old uncle? Maybe you have a daughter as a spare and this is important for some reason (Iberian wedding ;))?
Still some choices and more interesting heir mechanisms than currently.

Would it be an idea to not have mercenary units count against your forcelimit? Since they are already "self sustaining" with their higher initial cost and higher maintainence.

So if you have the full merc limit raised, you cannot raise any more, but if they all die in a stackwipe, you can immediately raise a full stack again and again?
