As others have already alluded to - when we said we were having bad RNG, we really meant it. We have had NO decisions go our way. AI alliances are against us, Castille got the PU we were confident would finally flip our way... and yes, we're with you guys, we're not thrilled with how it's gone for us either! Ceebie and I spent much of last session having to avoid Venetian lands and troops because we kept ended up on opposite sites of them in wars, thanks to the broken alliances mechanic that Dnote's team also suffered. It happened, we dealt with it the best we could :)

We were aware of what the Ottoman plans were for last session, and we have options available to us. It feels like there's a whole lot of up-in-the-air for quite a few teams at the moment, so at least we'll always have something to talk about during sessions...even if that something is "Damn it, that did NOT go well!" ^^

(Sidenote- props to Ceebie and Fido for doing so much to get lil' newbie EUIV player Ferrara up to speed. Teams mechanic is kicking ass, in that respect!)

And I bet they almost all start with Defensive or Quantity, that's the usual meta of Paradox dev clash.

Would have gone with my usual Defensive, but since I'm trying to work up professionalism as high as possible I wanted ample manpower to throw into the grinder.

I liked how Katz waited so long to finally pick up the pieces. Not very nice nor very brave but patient and clever. Traits of a true king/Shah. ;)

Also I loved to see Trin and friends finally win. Brave and honest men down there.

I see that someone see the the wisdom in my ways, also had to focus early on to make sure khiva got land and didn't explode from rebels :)

Just saying, the timmies attacked before the bankruptcy and they had taken the form Mughals mission previous session, and it was even after they got their VC on Bahmanis. They always wanted exactly this.


We only attacked Vij because it was our only alternative left after they had allied everyone around us and we wanted the initiative. If we're going to die at least we're firing the first shot.


The Southern Indians are worthy of respect. The timurids are not. They wanted to feast on a carcass from the very start. Anything else they say is just pure lies. Also Katz, after being the one protecting you in the early games. I am disappointed, so disappointed. Shame.

And no on the whole timmy thing, that's true. He took that mission long time ago. I've been doing this a long time enough to know where to poke. We knew we hsd to defeat the south in this one war before Ming collapsed. The problem was he found a nice henchman to become a tributary for him.

@Groogy I used to have the mission, but I abandoned it back then as I had other pressing matters, and then now I retook it just before we declared war :)


And if all other teams were to gang up on us I don't see this move to be something pivotal on surviving or dying

I vaguely remember a certain Explo-Coptoman player using Threaten War on a certain Timmy player because he was bored. First session in a dev clash of said Timmy player, too.

But sure, let's go with "protecting". :p

That was actually just us trading provinces. I think one of us were at war and that was just the easiest way to do it? Something like that

If anyone is planning to do a youtube parody of this war I would like to wish one of two things:
1. Spartans end, when they die, about loan and debase currency being our shields until we charged and died.
or
2. We should have acted. The cb's are already here.
The Thunder Dome told of their return.
The disconnect was merely a delay 'til the time after first sessions ended, when the sons of India would spill their own blood.
(the first one is probably better but this text fit pretty to the skyrim intro and I just wanted to write it somewhere)
