The mad pope Friduric launched a grand inquisition, was a great highlight, i noticed some bloc alliances being formed, not sure how Dnote is planning to compete overseas now Johan, Da9L & Katz have a pact, they will probably be uncontested in deep sea, Carlberg if he holds the pillars of hercules can probably maintain a dominance in the med alongside Bratyn. I suspect Johans realm could be a staging area for an invasion of Dnote, Da9L has declared Dnote a rival, has a victory card in brittany, agreements could be drawn up with johan, who announced he had drawn up agreements with Imse to divide the ai buffer between them. If Da9L is uncontested overseas, he could potentially intervene in europe, the riches from the colonies will allow him to raise big armies later on. Although Johan may be concerned with Imse & StarNaN, and the pact may also be a deterrent, although Imse & StarNaN bilateral alliances, could suggest they're moving into the frenemies zone, especially given one of the victory cards landed in StarNaN realm. It's gonna take some strong diplomacy between Bratyn & Dnote given there victory card tension, hopefully external threats are enough to let the dispute over the victory card rest, Dnote cannot stand alone should the Nordic bloc decide to invade, and Bratyn neighbours are looking menacing, especially given StarNaN alliance to Ihki. I'm not sure Imse alliance with Gnivom is enough to stop StarNaN going for his victory card, but if Imse is planning to draw a redline to stop StarNaN achieving his victory card, Imse is going to need more allies, perhaps Bratyn or Dnote if they can get military access. The great Russian alliance looks like a line drawn in the sand, that further expansion east won't be tolerated, although servancour is looking alittle exposed, especially if Ihki goes for his card. Fido & RageaiR fought the good fight, alas in vain, not enough to stop Ihki, Imse & StarNaN, but a valient effort, that seems to have led to more players joining in a coaltion against them. Meneth seems to have a uncertain future, but is still in a position to go out fighting, even if the country is wrecked in the process. Not sure why Katz took a part morococco, unless planning to colonize south africa, if i was carlberg, i would not stand for this.

My mixed fury and laughter is subsiding and now I'm just becoming curious . . . why choose barrels of all things to center your nation around?

Since he has seen Scottish culture close up I think it is just simple jealousy

To be fair, if Da9l really wanted to torture the commentator team, he would've chosen English and converted the provinces to that.
I'm sure it's more about Scotland being a worthless piece of land, so there is little point in promoting the culture there to get rid of the negative modifier, better to culture convert to your primary culture

I think it was like 21 dip each because the provinces up there isn't any good, so 63 diplo points for a nice jab was well worth it
