Finally caught the VOD, and man was that session fun to watch. So much of it was a really big surprise. We really didnt know about those tensions coming in, it was on a totally different front, the slow and surprising escalations, etc.
Do think the "calling in on allies" thing doesnt seem to work as well as people expect given how it escalates the war and can bring in unwanted countries. It's happened multiple times now.
This is demonstrably not true? I've watched the VODs for all the dev clashes back to Rights of Man, and the only time I've seen that an Asian nation won the clash was the Mandate of Heaven dev clash when *everyone* started in Asia.
I remember Bahmanis a while back. But yeah, I'm not bothered about the situation with Asia.
They clearly figured out they need to first fix StarNAN's mandate problem, and as Jake pointed out end-game when people would be more aware of their score and willing to strip victory cards is coming soon.
The diplomacy mightve been different had Timurids, Delhi, and Nepal all been placed in at once, but eh, whatever.
