Wanted to help out my allies Brazil & Andalusia. It looked like a simple, quick war... and suddenly the world became alot more complicated :)

As someone who has been rooting for PDXsanke's Brazil throughout the past half a dozen episodes of dev clash, it was awesome to finally see conflict in the Americas, and it was great to see players such as yourself and Benin help against the European hugbox and bring the fight.
Very entertaining battle with great strategic moves like Saxony and Brunswick taking advantage of the less protected European territories and the French Paradox attempting to use their troops to secure victory and eliminate your naval hegemony (which was super awesome to see and congratulations on securing).

One slight worry I have is that with the Italian powers seemingly being vastly outmatched by the current European alliance which has shown no internal conflict yet, a united Europe could be very scary. Is there any possibly to convince Prussia to convince them to perhaps betray their current alliance to secure their victory cards on the commonwealth, as their armies seem almost invincible on mainland Europe? Though then again with players reputations its understandable though disappointing if they continue their current alliances.

Lastly I know you joined the Indian alliance against the ai Ming a couple of sessions ago, yet abstained from the massive coalition against Starnan. I was curious on what your ambitions are in Asia and which alliance there you are more supportive of?

Overall have loved watching the dev clash, and are definitely rooting for the African-Spanish-South_American-Japanese alliance! AVE and thanks for reading my rather long winded message.

I think my lack of experience with MP (first time!) showed up at this war. Was tough to pay attention to multiple fronts and the brazilian army was always late to the battles. That costed us a lot over time.

But don't worry, we are rebuilding our army and navy and will learn from our experience. It was a great war!

(for nothing, really. Andalusia and Vermont should sit down together in a table and negotiate what to do with Caribbean provinces to avoid future war escalation haha)

I'm up in arms by this session. What an unironically wonderful, wonderful war. Beautiful show.

So many dead.
So many lives ruined in Iberia, the Maghreb, North America...
Nothing of value was gained.

I could have watched that war go for another 10 years :D

Delhi's defense game was seriously phenomenal. While watching the start of the war, I thought that they were going to lose big time especially because of the AI Nepal.

Despite Vermont fighting valiantly to retain the carribean, I really hope that Andalusian can somehow get the provinces since they fought so hard and seemed to suffer the most of all of the combatants during the war (except perhaps poor Ofaloaf). While there certainly were a few instances were I agree with your comments that Brazil troops might have won a battle if they joined slightly earlier, honestly it would be boring if you all played perfectly and these mistakes make wars so much more exciting and tense.

Can't wait too see the grand army of Brazil stronger then ever, Independência ou Morte #TeamBrazil

not to detract anything from Delhi who did phenomenally against 3 human players while his only real ally(sorry kilwa your small and far) was controlled by an AI, the stars had aligned to set Delhi up for destruction, except Ming was completely crippled by having 0 mandate and then his country exploded during the war.

Had Starnan given up the mandate to Hungary earlier, or even to Japan or Manchu, he would've been able to participate in the war a lot more forcefully

I loved that 2 month naval battle on the coast of Cuba.
Lots of time to disembark to get the rum and cigars!! :D

In a previous dev clash there was a Dithmarschen/Netherlands naval battle which I think lasted over a year...

The problem with giving up the mandate (aside from the fact the still-christian Hungary was unable to take it in the last war) is that after losing it you still get all the low mandate penalties for 20 years afterwards. So, long term it'd be good, but short term it wouldn't make a difference.

Wow, that's a lot of heavies! For comparison, the entire rest of the world combined has "only" 812
Bonus points for naming the Japanese flagship YAMATO.

Japans navy is absolutely incredible but something has to be done about the army. I hear the British Isles has some nice manpower and forcelimit?

Seeing how Britain helped in the war against vermont and is allied to Japan's allies, I struggle to see them going to war. However it would be epic to see Japanese Great Britain...

I had no idea about that actually, makes it all the more important he get rid of it really. He probably should have forced Manchu to take it by 100% and offering mandate to them

Mandate also gives governing capacity, though, and he might be quite worse off without that governing capacity. So he might have chosen to hold onto it, not thinking that it'd be possible to get as beat up as he ended up being during the ganging up on Ming.
