That's unlike say, my alliance to Bratyn that campaign, which was explicitly a permanent alliance.
My understanding is that the Delhi-Gujarati alliance had been communicated as a permanent alliance, but I can't say that for sure since I was only subbing.
Anyway, from talking to Trin, this betrayal would've happened regardless of whether Gujarat had a substitute or not.
