Dear forum, our game is usually crashing and I'm quite desperate:

Playing with 7 players spread all over the EU4-world. Sometimes desync errors for (some) of the players except the host, sometimes the game window shuts out of nowhere (for some of the joined players).
We are using all the DLCs except Golden Century with a Random New World generated.

We guess to have tracked down the issue to the formation of a new colony in whatever colonization area in the new world. The newly finished colony will then not succesfully be taken from the overlord to the colonial nation, but I guess someone with more expertise might want to take a look at it. Also the trade nodes in the RNW are not shown correctly.
Also seems to happen to one of the provinces in India next to Malwa, don't really know what is going on there...

Here is one of the error reports, I might generate some more for sure.

Is this a game crash or a desync?

If a game crash this may be the bug in the new world city graphics. Have all players disable city sprawl in the game's settings.


If a desync (OOS error):

- make sure all players have opened the required Steam ports in all their active firewalls (each player may have up to 3)

- all players delete their documents/paradox/eu4/gfx/ folders, and let the game recreate them
- use no mods at all
- all players use the same language in-game
- when anyone gets an OOS error, re-host the game immediately, as it will almost certainly crash soon
- start your multiplayer games and wait half a minute or so before unpausing without any player performing any action at all. Only after the game has been unpaused should players begin doing actions like setting rivals, declaring war etc.
