Eu4 Can´t load save files.

Since the release of patch 1.19 and onwards I haven´t been able to play eu4 because the game freezes up when trying to load into a save. The game plays fine and I can save games so the problem is with loading save files only.

I have tried reinstalling it multiple times with no success this includes deleting old save files and even the entire documents folder. I also have no mods installed.

The save files are regular sizes and I have tried normal, cloud, local and ironman save files. Compressed and not compressed.

A guy on the steam forum has the same problem he says:

Game is broken
I haven't played EUIV for a while. Came back to find that my game crashes every time I load a save. I tried deleting every EUIV folder and reinstalling. following that I then created a new cloud and local save. Both seem to become corrupted instantly... Anyone have a clue?

My hardware is:

i5 4670k
sli gtx 660
16 gb of ram
512 gb 850 evo ssd

And I had no problems playing the game on any earlier patches.

Please sync your Steam and Paradox accounts and then post this in the EU4 subforum for tech support. Instructions are in my signature below.

I did sync my steam account to my paradox account but it wouldn´t allow me access anyway? Maybe I just have to wait a bit then.

Try a log out and log back in of the forum. When you see the game icons under your name (like I have some) you'll have access.

Pressing sync owned items there can trigger a refresh as well.
