I assume the reason so few ships are captured is for balancing issued. Usually the only way I capture a ship is to have a fleet that is only slightly larger in size to where I lose one or two of mine anyways. If I have a huge fleet, it will sink every ship every time. Again, I am sure that is for balance reasons. In real life, a monster fleet would be far more likely to capture ships than to sink them as fear of death, with no chance for winning the battle, makes it much easier for an admiral to surrender his fleet.
You can mothball your fleet? what does that mean?
Several patches ago the most effective method was actually to engage the enemy with a fleet slightly weaker than theirs, then reinforce with a second fleet just before your ships started sinking.I assume the reason so few ships are captured is for balancing issued. I would be very much pleased if it was an option to not fund certain boats, or even an entire boat type. If I have 40 light ships and 20 heavies, it would be REALLY nice to not have to pay full maintenance on those big boys in peacetime just so I can keep my trade fleet running efficiently.
Rest of the world - basically everything outside EuropeWhats this ROTW i see, cant find it in the eu4 jargon list?
For some reason I wanted to ask the same question (except the wasteland part), because it is certainly not DanubianCossak (provinces don't follow rivers) or Gigau (too straight borders), but I can see that the cities are now correcly inside the provinces (at least in the few provinces I know where the capital is), and that is something I remember CanOmer having as a priority. I mean, are there any other map modders for EUIV? They could have taken them from other games, but I find that quite unlikely. Are you, by any chance, working with CanOmer? I'm pretty sure that wasteland in Arabia is his doing.
The Syrian Desert wasteland is great. I makes absolutely no sense that a Persia based empire can conquer Egypt by going through the desert and vice versa. That's like Egypt conquering Mali by marching through the Sahara Desert.
