I have DD, but that has nothing to do with the converter itself- it's built into Rev and will convert even if you don't have DD or hoi2 installed on your system.

And this isn't my project, I'm just playtesting it :)



It'd be really nice if we could get converted EU3 games to convert to DD next- being able to play a seamless CK to DD game without having to manually set up the map between each transfer would be epic.

You can download the MapMatcher here.

I have not tested it thoroughly, so make a copy of any province file you edit. Also, there isn't an export option (there is, but it just prints it to the console). The best you can do is preview it and do a copy-and-paste.

Furthermore, it does not keep the conversion data in sections (like "Europe" and such), and it scrambles up the order of anything that it loads. So if you do want to export, you'll have to fix the output yourself. I suggest using it once to see what needs to be converted, then again to do the actual conversions without loading previous data, and then copying the output into the original file.

I do not intend to keep working on this unless there is a real need. If anyone suggests a feature that I can see would be really, really useful and fairly easy to implement, I'll probably do it. But I make no promises.

Having said all that, it is a quite useful tool to see at a glance what provinces have been converted. While I was testing it just now, I could see that there are a couple of provinces in New York that aren't converted (because there is no place for them to go).

Thanks so much. While waiting for the fix, i installed Victoria in the location that your MapMatcher wanted... it's awesome. Workds can not express how thankful i am for all those tools you provide us with.
If it's not too much coding, could yuo add just one thing ? the possibility to zoom in (or how do i do it if the feature is already implemented), as there are many small provinces, and therefore hard to click on, on both maps.

Actually there's a post buried in the middle of the thread where you can download converter version 0.23. Then you want to cut&paste the relevant parts of the text files we've posted into their sections in Thrashing Mad's Vanilla Package, which is included with the version 0.23 converter. I know it's fairly complicated and I'd like it if the lead programmer would either update the 0.23 converter with these new data and post a link or if he would release the sourcecode (at which point I'd be happy to work on it, honestly).

Also if you are so impatient build the converter yourself :p
