So, does EU3 stand a chance vs vicky? I'm a vicky fan and I've never played EU3 but I'm thinking about buying it. I'd like to know if I'm gonna be deceived compared to vicky. Or should I wait for Vicky 2??

Found it.I asked that exact same question maybe several months ago, and received a lot of great replies.

 sadly we never know when vicky 2 will come:rofl:
I believe we can sadly discount a Vicky 2 anytime soon. Ol' Johan himself wrote a while back that he restarted the game for the first time in a long time and found it "too difficult".
If PI ever decides to do another game in the 19th and early 20th century time frame is just up in the air, but even if they do I don't think it would qualify to be called Vicky 2. I expect the game play would be totally different.
Or I think maybe Paradx can make another major expansion pack again that overhauls the system, map and game play. Making for prov like HOI3?
From what I've seen... I don't actually like the map of HoI3. Looks rubbish IMHO. Would much prefer a similar map to the previous installments - stuff if it is how a WW2 General would view a map, it should be what is best for gameplay!
I think something may eventually come from Paradox releasing the source code and the outsourcing any expansion or development on Vicky or a Vicky 2. I agree with you that we probably won't see Paradox actually sit down and make Vicky 2 themselves. I think it's a definite possibility that they would publish it if someone else made it with the source code.
