Maybe, you can expand your answer to this question:
Q: What is Army/Navy Tradition and how does it work?
based on MrT's response here? He is talking about this development diary.

Something like this:
  • Fighting battles increases tradition
  • Winning battles increases it even more
  • During peacetime tradition erodes
  • Certain ideas and buildings reduce the detoriation of the traditions
You spend your tradition when recruitng generals/admirals. It also costs some gold and one diplomat or colonist. To recruit an explorer or a conquistador, you must also have the “conquest of the new world” national idea. The skill values of a leader depends on the relevant tradition level of the country.

wot about Portugal?

Will Portugal still have only 3 main provinces?Tago, Oporto and Algarve? Cause there are big errors in EU1&2. For example....if we want to create the Vassal "Coimbra" it shouldn't be given the province Agarve!!Cause "Coimbra" it's not in Algarve...it's between Oporto and Lisbon right in the middle of Portugal! And the Vassel named Porto sould be called "Portucale" cause that's where our country began to expand! Inicial Portugal was a merge of the countys of "Portucale" and "Coimbra"! By the way, the Capital of Algarve was and has always been "Faro"! Not "Badajós"...Badajós it's a Spanish city at the frontier with Portugal! So...there sould be a province between Tago and Oporto named "Coimbra"!

And wot about the timer? I think that when the game ends we should be allowed to continue if we wat to!...say...to the...year 9999! Of course it wouldn't be needed Data such as Events, Kings,etc...it should be only for the plesure of playing!

...will it have the "scenario editor" plz...put it there!

I'll wait for an answer...

Jinnai: I have just added a "quote" near the top of the FAQ that clearly asks people not to past questions in this thread. As before, feel free to move it to wherever you'd like it, or to change text of it a bit.

Oh...and I noticed that right near the end of the FAQ you have a "broken" [ i ] tag in front of "Crusader" that needs fixing.

Some info gleaned from the pics linked to in this thread.

An extra known ruler title; the Stadtholder.
Two more known army types; The western knight and the western longbowman.
More knwon shiptypes; Caraval, Barque, Cog and Galley.

When starting a new game, not only do you get to pick whatever date you desire (suggestions with descriptions are provided), but you can also pick the country you want from a map, so searching through a list is no longer needed.

And two extra government types. The consitutional republic (the US in the screenie) and the constitutional monarchy (England).

Can you find out which group the units belong to?

Also if anything i've added (which also includes listed scenerio startdates as seen in screenshots) is released without Paradox permission and you want it removed, i will do so. I know there was some question about whether the source was able to release certain info he had.

Will it be possible in events to modify the HRE borders?
Read the green bit in the first post.
I don't think we know this yet BtW.

Yes, but it seems like those are the only 3 groups of land units

Since f.e. the western longbowmen have a picture of 17th century infantry besides them

Known Special Army Units List:

* Cavalry
o Caracolle
o Western Medieval Knight
* Infantry
o Maurician
o Western Longbowman
* Dragoon

I am almost certain that these are simply placeholders. Caracolle and Maurician are fairly nation/area specific; going by this argument, I'd suggest that the idea of a generic knight will be split into - for example - French Paladins, as well as a type of well-known Germanic or Iberian cavalry, and so on.

Likewise, Western Longbowman? Longbowmen were almost exclusively English; few if any other nations managed to perfect their use and techniques, and besides, by 1492 (gamestart) they were becoming obsolete anyway.

I would suggest Welsh Longbow, personally :)

Q: Is the map editable?
A: Yes. About the same level of editing a map for Morrowind or Oblivion (products by Bethesda Softworks). It's unknown whether you can add or remove provinces, change the overall size and/or shape of the map or add things for fantasy games, like underground dwarven empires or floating islands.
This is utterly incorrect and misleading.

The degree of difficulty/expertise required is on par with MW and OB. Not the actual function or methods themselves. The way that you have it phrased makes it sound like EU3 is world-building, RPG-ish. It isn't.

I would either delete that section completely or reword it to indicate that some proficiency would be required, up to a similar level of graphics expertise that would be required to make things for games such as MW or OB.

Features

* Players can enjoy over 300 years of gameplay by starting at ANY date between 1453 and 1789.
* Nation building is flexible: decide your own form of government, the structure of your society, trade politics and much more. The possibilities are endless.
* The great people and personalities of the past are on hand to support you. Take history in your hands and call personalities like Sir Isaac Newton, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or René Descartes to your court.
* A lush topographic map in full 3D allows for a rich and complete world view, and contains more than 1700 provinces and sea zones.
* Lead any one of more than 250 countries that originally existed during the game’s extensive time span.
* Have more than a thousand historical leaders and over 4000 historical Monarchs at your disposal.
* Manage more than 100 individual unit troops to secure as much power as possible.
* Co-operative multiplayer mode allows several players to work together to control a single nation.
* Customize your game: Europa Universalis III gives you the chance to customize and mod practically anything your heart may desire.

So, from this we can add Sir Isaac Newton, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and René Descartes to the list of known advisors.

:)

And from Johan's reply we can add three more:
  • Nicolaus Copernicus (natural_scientist)
  • Rafal Leszczynski (trader)
  • Waclaw z Szamotul (artist)
