Will they do this, I have a united Italy, its 1766, and my game wont last for ever. Can I transport it to Vic 2 when it comes out?
Although Paradox has only said they'll provide a converter for Victoria2 to HoI3, since EU3 uses the same engine I'm sure that enterprising modders will create an EU3-to-Victoria2 converter after the game is released. Will they do this, I have a united Italy, its 1766, and my game wont last for ever. This isn't as critical in the Clausewitz engine as is was in the old Vicky. Back then games converted from EU2 pretty much had brain dead AI, since it wasn't able to adjust to the fact that the world was very different. In Clausewitz this wont be an issue since the AI is far better at adapting to its situation. What I would love is a converter that lets you convert only your sphere of influence to the next game, the rest of the world is just as it would be at the start of that grand campaign. Yes, there would be oddities like having the USA pop up in parts of North America that your British empire couldn't colonize as Permanent Terra Incognito, but those oddities would be less jarring then the continuation of the tangents from the previous game.
Isnt there a new expansion being planned for EU3? Assuming Paradox has the basics for Victoria 2 down, it shouldnt be too hard to include a converter![]()
