Wow these Arab nations are pretty hard. I'm playing as Hassa and my god the support limits are awful.

I've had to restart a few times but I managed to luck out when Yemen declared war on me and I got some help with them so I've managed to take them over and I'm starting to push into Ethiopia to gain some territory to use as a base for an empire. The trouble is; I had to use mercs at first which has pushed my inflation way high and I'm having lots of rebellion problems and I can't seem to amass enough troops to fight them off. Seems to be going "ok" now but I dread to think how I'm going to push up towards those Mameluks! They're beating the ottomans

Also can someone remind me of the deadline end year for this? I can't remember and there's sooo many pages on this thread.

For KingCharlesXII and Moocats - the initial rules post. Clarification from later in the thread, the eastern border for the second point is Fars, Ajam and Mazandaran. The northern border of the Anatolian bonus zone is the edge of Georgia, you do not need any actual Georgian territories. Game end date is 1475 (no exact date defined, but looking at the results, there is some flexibility as long as your final screenshot is in that year).

I have managed to conquer Ethiopia now so I have some land mass and a bit more support limit but the Mameluks have taken most of Turkey and the Ottomans have moved quite far up into Eastern Europe so I'm not sure if I'll be able to take Judea now. Mecca shouldn't be too hard if I can get these rebellions under control.

An expiry of 1475 implies December 31st 1475 .

Ugh.. lets get to the next part of the challenge... This was tough.

Anyhow I own thrace but didn't have enough time to put a COT there. I Have a PU with Mamluks(from what I understand, it still counts.) Tried Haasa but that is just insane hard.

Is this "rookie challenge" accurate titled? Recently there was an "expert challenge" thread that was offering simpler objectives. Getting all these objectives as Haasa is pretty challenging and requires careful planning. And I think it can still be derailed by bad luck. In a fairly smooth game (no disasters) I've managed it, but my first attempt has failed - I wasn't making progress fast enough


There is number of problems to address - forcelimits, manpower, colonist and diplomats shortage, slow teching and this all needs to be done at a good pace

"First one to 10 wins." Seems a little low due to how there will probably be 2 players with atleast 5 points now..

1)Survival-Can be fun(Native american nation perhaps?)
2)Blobbing-We just did, wouldn't want you to have us play Ryukyu...
3)Unification-Can be fun
4)Colonizing-Not so fun. IMO

And for the challenge.
Its very interessting to read what the players make of it.
And its shows me how bad i am at the game. Mostly because i dont have time to play it i guess

It is just as Memento Mori Said, All you need to do is conquer Judea and Mecca. Everything else is a bonus. Going the extra mile makes it a harder challenge!!

@alexti: Are you doing the challenge or participating from the Sidelines? I dont have your name on the list but if you would like to join then that is fine. I mean if you do, its +5 points. Im also on the ups about you doing this before 1450.... thats crazy.

Just to let you know, Survival will probably be one of the hardest of the challenges. At the same time, it will also be the shortest. And Demonliver saved you guys. Surviving as Georgia was actually going to be the next challenge if you picked it. Now I think I shall find a harder one....
