I wonder if it will be difficult for modders to make additional models for the game.

EDIT: Why isn't the year 2000 part of the new milennium? It makes more sense that way, the milennium changing when the thousand-digit change.

Stingray: Because when counting BC/AC (Before Christ/After Christ) we count from 1 upwards, 0 being the birth of Christ and not counted, hence why the period is from 1 to 2000 but it only turns into a new millennium in 2001.

Back to the art topic, I seriously hope that they don't make the usual mistake of mistaking Portuguese culture with Spanish culture and end up making units looking exactly alike and just change their colour.

If anything, Portugal's military attire was very similar to the British though with emphasis on green+white/red+green and blue+white tabards and uniforms. It just p-sses me off that games usually portray portuguese and spanish units of, say, the 18th century with Elizabethan clothing (specifically those large white collars).

I don't play FPS games, so I usually buy vid cards about 3 years after they are considered "cool".

I just got a GeForce 6200 w/ 256M of RAM for $50 from newegg. Let's try to keep the OMG THE GAME WILL NEED TEH ROXXORZ VID CARD SO I M NOT TEH NOOB hysteria to a minimum, please.

FYI: Civ4 played well on my old FX5500 that I swapped out. On the 6200 I play with Civ4 in "High" graphics mode and it flies along at a great pace. I'm in love.

Then you should be beaten with a wet noodle. Endlessly. For having a laptop as a primary computer, someone should put you in the comfy chair.

I'm sorry, but in my ever so humble opinion, you should have to deal with the fact that the machine you purchased costs more to upgrade and is less functional, but you get to take it with you everywhere you go.

This is, so you don't feel bad, the same response I would give someone that says, "But my machine is a Mac!" or "But will it run on FreeBSD?"

No, think about Anno 0... This year doesn't exist. First millenium AC "started" Anno 1 (if we can say because this was not the regular name for this year at this time).

Diplomacy didnt really appealed to me, so i never played it. but requirements, are ok. i guess, i just had bad experience with 3d strategy games. so im little worried.
