I hope we still have the waving flag city graphic on the map. EU II is the only Paradox game that I actually play out on the terrain view. CK, Victoria, and HoI were political mapview only for me...
Johan said:We had that in eu1 and eu2 also you know
and yes its 3d, as its a competely new engine etc.
It was only because EUII was young. All later Paradox titles incorporated the feature.KaiserChicken said:That was a problem - one of the few flaws I found in EUII was the fact that you could not play the game in the political map.
Diplomacy was not a real Paradox game.crash63 said:Is it really necessary for EU ?
The 3D wasn't a great success with Diplo.![]()

I'm just using it as an example. I think that having actual depictions of trees on the map or elevated terrain rather than green or tan provinces will help make the map seem more alive. The implimentation will certainly have a lot to do with how successful the move to 3D is but for now I'm optimistic.arcorelli said:Well, everyone prefers better graphics, but really there are quite good looking maps anyway. And RTW look so unrealistic to me anyway, I can relate better to a map.
But since the thing is going 3D I settle for optimization and not a cartoonish-look
