If worse comes to worse, just delete all the events. One of the biggest leeching of RAM came from all the trigger checking that the thousands of EU II events did!SecondReich said:I just hope my computer will run EUIII, or else...well...![]()

Well the provinces were still pretty plain and ugly in Diplomacy. Trust me. I could care less for 3D, but this will attract many new customers. However, I hope 3D still captures the elegance that was EU II.arcorelli said:Now, for a game that is about the world, I think a 2D map is simply perfect. I don't remember any game about ruling an entire nation that got any improvement for going 3D (3D is perfect for tactical games and the like but for managing provinces?) Diplomacy is just a perfect example of a game that don't get anything interesting of going 3D
Since it is decided to go 3D, I hope they manage to optimize it.
Personally, I find the style used in the strategic map of Rome: Total War to be quite elegant and stylish. Not perfect for EU but I prefer it to a simple map like we've seen before.arcorelli said:Now, for a game that is about the world, I think a 2D map is simply perfect. Me too, EU2 map design is the best 2D ever made... far, far away from other games in same category. And I say map (as in History books), not 2D isometric or 3D but let Paradox surprise us!Jayavarman said:Well the provinces were still pretty plain and ugly in Diplomacy. Trust me. I am 100% sure there will be lots of flaming whining and griping on release.Van der Gent said:I am 100% sure it will be absolutly perfect!
Trip said:Not everyone will agree obviously with this sentiment in particular, but graphics are important to everyone. If EU3 used ASCII art then the vast majority of people here would be hugely disappointed, even if the gameplay was much superior to what's come before. We have to face the reality that the better the game looks the more people will like it.
