I read somewhere (can't remember where
) that Paradox have chosen not to go down the expensive route of copy protection for their games but instead give 'added value' in terms of 'colour manuals' and 'tech tree charts' etc.
Does this mean the EU3 manual will actually be useful this time around (I mean more useful than proping-up that dodgy table leg!), or is this just marketing speak for 'we cant afford the copy protection so we dont bother'?
I appreciate the cost of such things, things which probably dont influence anyone to buy or not to buy a game and I agree that we can get around the lack of a manual by coming here to the rich Paradox forums, but never the less manuals do add 'value' to the package, they're a way for the developers to bring you into the feel and atmosphere of the game, it sort of rounds off the package, no?
