Bringing up the Console
I had a lot of trouble bringing up the console on my laptop - however, I finally mastered it. I thought I would share it since a few people seem to be having trouble. Please note that this may not work on your laptop. I use the sequence of ALT + 21. However, before doing that, I need to turn on numlock so that I gain access to the number keys on the letter part of the keyboard. My numlock is turned on by fn + F6 - yours may be different. Then I pres Alt +2 (k on my keyboard) and, while releasing the 2 I then press the 1 (j on my keyboard). After that, nothing appears until I release the ALT and the 1.
I hope this helps with bringing up the console. Closing is done by repeating the process. Note that you will need to turn numlock off when you type in teh cheat codes - otehrwise you will get gibberish.

I tried all the other console commands suggested to no avail and finally got the § key to work pressing alt 123 on the numpad. Dunno if that only works for English configured keyboards though. Hope it helps.

Maybe people already know this but try this for laptops, i have a dell and it worked for me:
While holding down alt+Fn type this: m(0) j(1) o(6) 7(7). After that cheat to your hearts content and then retype that to exit the console. The number in () is the corresponding function when Fn key is used.
Event 6009 doesn't seem to work for me. I may try the other idea of
adding to the events to get the manpower to increase....

OK, I took "arjuna one's" event idea and modified it some to work with
the game. I reduced some of the numbers because they were just too
high or didn't look right. Below is what I came up with:
Put the text below into a notepad and name it "99998_99999"
Put the notepad in your events folder.

Is there any acceptall kind of cheat? I'm on this nice Venice game where I control all of austria's provinces plus they only have about 1k men retreating all over, yet they won't accept my offer for 4 god damn provinces that I need to controll all of italy. Is a pain in the ass, this damn broken peace deals...
So is there no way to get rid of TI? I'm trying modding and I really need to be able to see the entire map... :wacko:

Yea i dislike not having a FOW removal cheat. Though i assume its cause of a gameplay problem if you remove it all right away. Though it hurts me a lot cause i like to tool around with the AIs and yea...it makes it kinda harder to figure out whats going on when i cant see general stuff.
So I guess there is no accept all cheat... 
I wouldn't mind if the Ai was less stubborn, but this issue is ruining my gameplay......
I guess I will have to edit my saved game and get the provinces I want. How can I do that, any1 knows?

Invest cheat update:
These work well for me to use the invest cheat.
invest land_tech 999999 (thats 6 -9's and it gives you a crap load of money, but since NA naval doesn't give you that much but for all the other ones with that number you get a lot invested)
Or just go to a save game.
1. Find your country (easiest to do is ctrl-f and "human=yes"
2. Change tech levels and your ready to go. (scroll down to look for the tech levels.

well, there is no fog of war in this game.......TI is not caused by war......not seeing a countries armies is not caused by war.........
