i think we can leave the vicky out of that.Assos said:Hopefully we will get a blend of all the best of CK, EUII, Vicky, and HoI!

i never viewed rulers' stats as being reflective of the actual ruler, but of the general luck and progress of the country at the time. perhaps, they could have slight variations to spice things up but keep the game on the same general tack.Jeno said:Ho hum...I loved leadership in Vicky, so I hope they do it like that again. Always liked being able to have unique...ish random leaders.![]()
And CK traits, weeee...![]()
I think there's a problem with that kind of thinking. While I'm certainly excited, there is the "possibility" that the game will be bad. One of the most difficult obstacles EUIII will have to overcome is the hype... after so long and with so much anticipation everyone will expect this to be the best game ever made... when in actuality, there are many ways to screw up a game or series. Not saying that Paradox will do so, of course, but assuming it will be the best game every from the start will only lead to many hearts being broken in the long -run. Best case scenario is that only 15-20% of hardcore fans are disappointed, and that's a pie-in-the-sky estimate.BennyB said:Just priceless, this is what Ive been waiting for. Ive played pretty much every strategy game in existence but EU II is the best game ever created. Ive never made a statement like this but its Paradox and its EU together again so here it goes. There is no way this game can be bad. Not possible.

I think it's safe to assume anyone posting in this or the OT thread in the next day will have their hopes "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay" too high no matter what.Jeno said:Oh, people that get their hopes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to high will always be dissapointed, just like with any other game or highly anticipated movie.
But with all the projects they've done since EU II, I think if they combine the best parts of HoI II/CK/Vicky along with the best of EUII and general improvements to it...then it'll be a good game. There have certainly been a number of things that I've though "Hey, this would be cool in EU."
