The only thing is that on the country selection screen, there are many flags appearing, we should limit it to 8 (there were 10 I think)

I'll have a look at that. The thing with is that it has 10 countries to select from in the EU2 save game file...

Yes, but in Victoria the last flag doesn't fit in the Window... we should limit it to 8 (as is in the 1836 GC set up) IMHO...

That would be great! Do you have many? I've lost most of my old ones when formating my harddrive...

:)

I have five endgame saves on this machine which I spared when I wiped my EU2 directory. I think you need to send me your e-mail somehow so I can send them to you. Might have more on the other computer.

It would be great, Golden_deli, if they could be uploaded someplace so as to test many varieties...

One thing I forgot to mention... Last night while converting Austria, as mentioned before, I've noticed that I started my converted game in Victoria with around 250 K in money.... that's an awful amount since it enabled lots of social reforms and such from the very beginning (which are more expensive later on)

IMHO, at start-up no player should get over 10 - 15 K, otherwise it erodes the fun of the start up which is when you decide whether to start colonizing, industrializing, expanding and invest thus your money wisely.

If I start with lots of cash I could buy territories, colonize at a quick pace and many things as such...

So, we should make it harder for the player at the start up of the Vicky game...

The current formula is (treasury * 50) / (1 + inflation)

I'd suggest (treasury * 10) / (1 + inflation)

what do you think?

Like this...?

Have fun.

I'd suggest (treasury * 10) / (1 + inflation)

People were saying the debts were too big, too. This new formula will work- it would have left you with 50k. Should be OK- but you could afford to reduce it further.

This probably has been suggested (and killed off) already. As far as i know CoT's aren't converted to anything in the current version, i have tested the converter with a 1815 MP game in which i played Portugal. The problem i faced was that none of my overseas provinces brought in any goods, due to the lack of convoys.

Would it be possible to convert CoT's to clipper convoys? Maybe at a 1 CoT is 10 clipper convoys ratio?

I like the (treasury * 10) / (1 + inflation) formula more, think about small countries too, its hard for them to get a lot of money, or if you get too much money, why not (treasury * 5) / (1 + inflation) then?

There is no relation between COT's and Ships, but i would support merchants in centers of trade beeing converted in convoys ;)

Yeah... let's split the difference and make it 5 then....

(treasury * 5) / (1 + inflation)

Yea, I think it must be tweaked a bit... As japan I colonized the entire Pacific because I had so much money in my last converted game...

Maybe start with (treasury * 10) / (1 + inflation) and see how that works.

And tweak the loans down to (loans * 2) / (1 + inflation).

so? what do you think about merchants in COT converted in something like convoys or money? remeber that getting a merchant in a center of trade in EU means having things like ports for ships, a lot of money and good trade politics, thats something that should be translated to Vic, consider this idea taking as an example Portugal or Venice, they are most likely to have their treasury invested in COT's and when they get converted into Vicky, they loose that part...
