A) Will it have one? I honestly hope it does, that could be pretty cool- 1066-1920 with one engine.
B) For conversions, what is going to happen? Say for instance in my latest game as Byzantium I converted Basrah in about 1816.
Shouldnt it be something like 60% Orthodox, 40% Shiite because it is so recently converted, as opposed to Antalya, which was converted in about 1490?

Regarding a hypothetic converter, I don't remember but I don't think there is any data in the save file that can be used to determine percentages if GV will use that system (which is doubtful). What *can* be done is calculating nationalism, since there is a nationalism date tag which I think never disappears in the save file for determining the limited nationalism in EU2.

That being said, I haven't heard any official regarding a converter for Victoria, so don't get your hopes up... (Even though it would be awesome :D )

Well I do remember Johan saying that a converter would be no problem to put together (between CK and EU2) so it isn't impossible to imagine...

But that being said I do believe that this is one of the reasons why an 1835, not 1820, start date was chosen - no conversion...

re

Not that hard to make a scenario yourself though if they give out an editor. it would be hard to make a converter as you are going from an older game to a newer one. Ck is older to newer Game Chronologically if you know what i mean...

a combination of the two i think would work the best. Hopefully with Victoria we get an editor that works =D

PTI?
Anyway, not just that, but culture changes.
Say for instance the Greacification process in Anatolia seen in the EEP, or the non Turkification of Thrace option in GC.

is this even possible?

from ck to eu one isn't going to have a country not playabe in eu; however if one survives as trebizond, let's say, there's no way a converter could handle that going from eu to victoria...

A flag, a group of CBies, not even any events.
All Johan has to do is the basics, the community could fill it in.

While I understand that many players would love to play contunuosly from 1419 to 1920, I myself don´t find it very attracting. That's because I seldom finish an EU II game, and if I do, I'm already in world dominating position (and I suspect that that's the situation for most players). So it certainly wouldn't be very exciting to start Vic as an ÜberLorraine with zilloin provinces and just use Vic as a tool to mop up the rest of the world.

So, no EUII-Vic conversion for me.:)

I did Castile as openminded, innovative and with free trade. Well....I >ended< up that way by the of my world conquest. I admit I had to hurry at the end to conquer China<the last nation left to annex>. They kept colonizing places out in the middle of nowhere. I kept taking all that time between opportunities to get China putting down all the rebellions. It was very messy...but I did manage it in the end. Got it all about six months before the end of the timeline.

did the world map change radically btw. 1820~1835? not really, so i think we could inherit the map from eu2-1820 into a victoria 1835 map.

if paradox links all these titles, they would have a great set of products to offer and compiment each other. think about it CK->EU2->VIC->HOI(?)

wow! play a nation from 1066 until 1948. talk about a business model!

It oughtn't be too hard to do it by hand, anyway. I've no doubt that, given a bit of time, even if those brilliant Swedes don't do it to begin with that some of this EU group will undertake programming a converter.
