Please consider the implications of advertising EU2. True story to follow:

During the Copenhagen EU2 AAR meeting in December (very small attendance), I was waiting for foreign arrivals at Copenhagen Central Railroad station.

To attract the attention of attendees (whom I had never seen face to face before), I carried a yellow sign saying, approximately, "EU2 AAR Meeting" - or was it "Copenhagen EU2 AAR" ? (I think Eochaid has a picture)

Anyway, that day there were two public demonstrations in Copenhagen. One against war in Iraq, and one against the European Union Copenhagen Summit, which was scheduled for the same weekend. That this brought all sorts of demonstrators to the railroad station goes without saying. The idealists, the bored, the drunk, and the scum of the earth. Quite ordinary for demonstrations, really.

I was the only one with a vaguely EU positive sign in the entire railroad station. I remain convinced that the only reason I was not pestered with more than weird looks was that they did not know whether "AAR" was positive or negative. Well, that and my substantial bulk and menacing looks, I guess.

The consequences of having worn a T-shirt saying "Europa Universalis 2" on that day, I dare not predict :D

*Newsflash, aparently a danish fellow was hanged today by angry demonstrants as he was thought to display the wish that the European Union should rule everywhere...*

Maybe someone should start a hooligan band named EU 2,

Suggestion for a slogan:

“First there was SP, then there was MP and now there is the chance to go on a rampage in real life as well. Join the Paradox theme in their real life grand campaign against various opponents that could be found in the streets of Stockholm”
:D

Europa Universalis on the front - with the flourish that is Johan's avatar behind it.

A list of provinces on the back under the heading World Tour.
Next to the provinces you could have dates on which you conquered them

:)

Maybe get Strategy First to make and sell T-shirts under license from Paradox. They already have the distribution network in place.

Why would an AAR Alcoholics Anonymous Reunion be a problem.

I'd buy one or two of each style

I really like the Paradox symbol, it's one of the best I've seen for any video game company. If they were to design a t-shirt for EU2 they should put that on it for both its looks, and for some much deserved free advertising.

I could certainly go for the T-shirt and the mug. One can never have too many mugs, and I only have a couple cool T-shirts anymore (among which is a "Kull the Conqueror" T-shirt, for those that remember the movie).

I like the idea of a black t-shirt with the EU2 logo on the front. Much like the inlay card in the cd case (at least with the Strategy First release)

The idea of something being on the back is nice too.. though that adds to the cost of production. Regardless.. the idea that i personally liked the most was going for the world tour look. I wonder how small the print would be if every province was written on the back? perhaps could go with every playable country on the back.. phew.. that'd be some small print as well.

bah.. leave the back alone..

of course.. could go for the classic design. on the front have a small Paradox logo on the chest.. and have the large EU2 logo on the back.

coffee mugs would be nice too, except.. unless it big, i'll never use it.

and a tie? i'd rather wear a noose.

i feel a t-shirt is probably the option with the biggest market. maybe.
