Does anyone ever play the fantasia scenario ? I tried once but was really really really really boring...
Fantasia is a bit boring but it could get better if you as an example:
had a vassal,more of the map visible or 3 start cities.

You can do all but the vassal bit via the Scenario Generator:-

Try it - you can play Fantasia or normal or any in between. If you like you can do a Civilisation type start with only 1 city.
The dull thing about the Scenario Generator is that the countries are most likely to colonize the same provinces and areas.

A way to make Fantasia fun
Using the Scenario Generator, I've made Fantasia very fun, but it gets pretty bizarre. Just tell it to include 65 nations, randomly placed, in Fantasia mode. Use accelerated start to give everyone 5 provinces, and give all countries the same tech group (just to make it fun). Then, place the country you want to play where you'd like to hang out. Then run it and play it. You'll see vassalizations galore, wars everywhere, and since there are so many colonial powers (65 of them!), the map gets explored pretty damn quick. And once you run out of colonial room, the really mean wars start up. The kind of wars that last for 20 years, because everyone has the same religion in all provinces, so war fatigue is not a big deal.... You also see weird situations like Austria getting elected HRE, but only after they have discovered enough of the HRE countries to get elected!
That one is a real hoot to watch.

Fantasia is cool, I just imagine that either Atlantis just sunk and her citizens scattered throughout the world, or that some alien space ship crashed, and I lead one of the many factions (ala Alpha Centauri).
Fantasia CAN be very boring, which is why it should be improved in EU2. Never tried it with the scenario generator, damned good idea, hmmm...

I much prefer the more historical modes of the game-never really understood how you could justif PTI in Fantasia mode.
