I looked at the amazon.com ad, but the minimum they want is twice the original sale price and I really only want the asian chapter, so $40 for a $20 6 pack of games seems a bit of "over kill" to me. But I may get it anyway if I can't find a better deal.

I also read reviews that said the asian chapter was not very good. But I would like to give it a try anyway, as long as it is a decent price.

Maybe I just need to wait for EU III to come out. At that point the EU II stuff will show up on Ebay...

You may find EU2 on Ebay someday soon. I hope EUIII is as good. But I don't think you will find the Asian Chapters anywhere other than the Six Pack. The Asian Chapters is such rubbish, it isn't even worth the postage to ship it. Paradox did not make Asian Chapters. Paradox made modding easy enough. So try a mod with a new map.

The meaningful advance with the Asian Chapters variant is that it had a different map. However the latest modding efforts now also have new maps, including ones with a LOT of new provinces. They're worth checking out.

I was pretty unhappy with them, but mainly because they seemed to use an oriental character set. Being pretty much an English-only speaker, this was less than useful to me.

I have the SP6, but could not even run the Asian Chapters version it contained. It forced me to reinstall EUII. Never touched it since then.
