Just installed EU on my computer. I double click on the shortcut icon and all I get is a black screen and the intro music. Can anyone please help, new to this and the search function here is down. Thanks

Well, how long did you sit with the music? There's a good period of blackness before anything happens in the intro.
Also you could try clicking or hitting escape to stop the intro and go on to the game itself...

You might (I stress MIGHT) have a problem with the starting video's. I had (with one of them). I just removed the offending video and replaced it with a copy of one of the others (which had been renamed to the deleted file's name). It might solve your problem.
rename the avi folder to something else. The binkplay that is used to play the intro can cause problems.
If you rename the fodler you won't be able to see the intro but at least the game shouldbecome more stable.

TnT2C71 - Rename your AVI folder to AVI_back and see if that fixes up the problem.
