I feel compelled to watch all battles and assaults... I just know they'll lose if I don't.

If I have a Conquistador in a provence especially an island, and I send a colonist I will leave him there. (even thou there are no natives left and the chance of success is determined when the colonist is sent.) It seams like when I get a big head and assume it will be successful (and therfore load him on a ship or move him to the next provence) it ALWAYS fails.

Anyways, I also have this tendency to watch my naives and armies as they travel....don't know why.

For not watching battles, I never do so with rebels. I find it yields better results.
Can't say the same for battles against an enemy country. Feel I need to watch to make sure.

I always tend to supervision as much as the things that happends to me as possible.
This must be the first time
Myself I must watch a siege or I have a feeling that it will take forever for the fortress to surrender...... perhaps a remnant of a bug from an earlier version

Perhaps it is not superstition; more of a misplaced emotion on a subconscious level....Anyway, when the Screaming Shrew is playing, I become more aggressive and DoW my neighbors.
I mumble prayers when colonising the outer reaches of Indonesia....

Alweys set time to 1 min. = 1 month when in war.
If time is faster i think that i am going to loose.
And i need alweys to have at least 4 merchants at stock.
If i got less i feel that more often AI kick my merchants out of CoT

When I want nations to attack me in the beginning of the game, even when they are in possession of a CB generously awarded to them by my insults, they never do. Even if I dismand my army to encourage opposition target practice
Except for those with whom I would prefer peace.
So I am reduced to RM/Claim throne to at least save some BB on the inevitable war. Once I am overextended, however, they happily dow.

I also always have to watch all battles and settlers but I never watch missionaries and traders - it brings me bad luck
I rarely change the domestic sliders because I believe that the computer will always throw up an event that changes them right back again.

I always close my eyes when I'm reading the message board here on this site because I dont want to jinx my posts. I think that if I open my eyes while reading everyones posts that a lightning bolt will strike down my black cat who lives under my ladder in the back of my house.
I also turn my head away whenever I'm about finished posting a message. I'm afraid if I look at it when I'm posting it, that my computer will burst into flames and my soul will be tormented in hell for all eterinity.
But thats just me... call me crazy.. I dunno!
