Complexes is only the first name on ”Europa universalis 3”. The game stretches over 300 year, has 1 700 conquerable provinces, a senseless lot of data – and is killing boring.
Of cores, it is super detailed and you get a pouch historic knowledge on the coup, but the feeling default total. The graphics holds a finesse loss 80-tales standard and the grandiose battles is discouraging; some poky bangs, eleven pixels becomes red instead of blue and it is over.
Talk about anticlimax.

I can imagine that...
Paradox is just getting famous right now, with EU3 and with there view about copyright (but don't discuss it, it's against the rules!).
Swedish game industry is growing fast.

Ironically, apart from the obvious simplification of the game you are implying in your post. Wouldn't those specific changes make the game even more complex. I've yet to see a collectable wood resource in EU. Naval supplies etc don't count because they are static.

I have not bought EU3 yet (I am still concerned about the lack of historical content and am just lurking on it for now) but as a long-time fan of Paradox I am very happy to hear about EU3's success! I will be toasting to Johan the next chance I get to consume an appropriate beverage

EU 2 soled 200 000 total, and EU 3 soled 150 000 in less than a month!

Yeah, I like to think so as well...

But that's great news that it sold so well. I also hope that as many of those 150,000 as possible learn about the forums and Paradox's history of improving and patching their games as they go. The built-in check for updates option should hopefully help that.

And I would guess alot of those EU2 sales came years after the release. I myself randomly stumbled upon it in a shop in 2003.

Buy a small island and relocate the entire forum population there. They will have 60 MP and some kickass tech teams I'm sure! However I have a feeling that the MP growth will be rather small. Which is why the first tech to be researched should be "Experimental Cloning and Super Soldier theory" by the techteam "Modders Workshop" a skill 9er.
