EU:Rome key not working on the website

Hello all, sorry if it's the wrong section. As the title says my CD key for EU:Rome isn't working when I try to add it to "my games" so I can post in the forum. I didn't have any problems with my CK2 key and CK2 is the only other Paradox game I have. It's the Gold edition if that makes any difference. I've tried entering it 3 ways:

XXXX-0000-1111
XXXX 0000 1111
XXXX00001111

None work.

Note there are 3 possibilities for "Rome" in MyGames:

Europa Universalis: Rome
Rome: Vae Victis
Rome Gold

Is your game from Steam? They sometimes do things like sell you Gold but deliver the base game Rome+VV, which is effectively the same product but the forum keys would go in different fields.

It's a physical copy from Amazon. Sorry I think it's just a simple case of me trying to put the key in the wrong thing. Derp. I didn't see Rome Gold in the dropdown box, just EU: Rome, which is what I thought I bought.

Well... that is what I bought.
