There are those fans, like myself, who honestly like EU: Rome, despite it's flaws. Situation was even worse with Crusader Kings. It was full of bugs and flaws, but still very enjoyable game. Eventually patches made it great game and likewise I think that recent patch did good job with Rome. But then came Deus Vult which made good game even better and I hope that Vae Victis will do same thing for Rome.
I admit, that Rome 1.0 had a lot of flaws, but Rome 1.3 is much more better than Crusader Kings 1.0. In fact CK wasn’t enjoyable for me, it had horrible interface and graphics, horrible map, many bugs... That’s why I haven’t bought Deus Vult, although, maybe I should. Maybe then I would get to like this game. With Rome I have much more fun. If with this expansion it will be even better, I’ll buy it. Especially if it is only 9.99, it could be worth it.
Nevertheless, I think, that Paradox is making too expensive games. It has always been the same. I bought EU2 just to find out, that is just EU1 with some new features, and today’s expansions give us more changes. CK, Vici and HOI2 had their own expansions. I guess we have to live with that, Paradox is not a charity foundation, they are here to make money. As long as they make good and not to expensive games there is nothing wrong about it
