The AI seems to be refusing to join battles. This isn't just another example of them preforming a Cossaks jig. I was playing a Brandenburg game today and was attacked in Berlin, the allied AI armies did not move to help, in spite of the fact I was fighting the entire enemy army in a defensive battle with both terrain and river crossing bonuses and had only around 300 fewer troops than the enemy. The AI instead wandered over to Magdeburg where they started up a fresh seige and proceeded to watch my army get destroyed.

yea, the AI just sieges provinces now and refuses to help in battles. this has been a problem since the new fort mechanics as well. AI simply cannot deal with it, not to mention the pathing (which causes AI to incorrectly estimate the time/place of battle)...

Whenever you get stuff like this, try to make save games and upload them so we can look at them.

this isn't a save-game specific issue. it's common with the AI in every single war...

i've noticed (for vassals):

- if you set AI to 'supportive', it doesn't attach to your units most of the time, instead stays close by, even if you have 'attach' selected.
- if you set AI to 'siege', they will siege random provinces, not just forts, and fail to attach.
- if you set AI to 'decide', they will attach if you select the attach option, but often fail to siege forts, aid in battles, etc... sometimes just sit around in random provinces, or provinces that don't need help sieging. often times, they will leave a siege at 42% completion for no reason.

for vassals/allies (especially allies, which you cannot control):

- when sieging forts, they will for the most part ignore enemy army stacks, while they go around wiping their siege stacks... also, they will ignore the main battles, causing you large casualties, while they siege random provinces, then demand them in a peace... for doing nothing...

not sure what other specific cases, but AI has been massively broken ever since the forts patch.
