No idea what "PAYDAY 2" and "Saints Row 4" is ???

PAYDAY2 is an action game about heists. Saints Row 4 is a action game in the vein of Grand Theft Auto, but more absurd. Neither really competing in the same genre as EU4 or TW :D
Probably says more that EU4 is beating pre-orders for The Bureau: XCOM.

Rome 2 is probably behind only because its release is still 3 weeks away. Its been holding its spot solidly for multiple weeks, even with the higher price, while EU4 has only just jumped it due to its impending release.

Mhm...CA couldnt code an AI that could beat a wet tissue so I´m not holding my breath. Been burned one too many time.

For me the AI looks finally acceptable( Atleast that is what the previews on Youtube are looking for me). This means it´s better then the piece of crap Shogun II was. (Ok, it can´t get worse after Shogun II :) ). Rome II looks finally like the continuation of the good parts of the series (Medival I, Rome, and Medival II)

Most titles reach their peak of sales just before to shortly after their release date.

The very successful titles, however, don't follow that trend. They dominate that list weeks before release AND remain on that list months and months afterwards.

Will EUIV dominate that list? My prediction: nope. But I am glad to see that CKII items are still in the top 100.

Apparently CK2 sales have been interesting and slightly atypical, with a long and relatively high tail that actually peaked numerous times long after the release. That is the other way (easier now with digital distribution) to have a successful game :) Let's hope EU4 can mimic that behaviour after what could be a great launch.

Hi,

Great numbers ! Few games reach third place, even taking into account pre orders. That being said, we must take into account the fact that the game requires Steam to run and will not sell physical copies in most countries, which will no doubt influence Steam sales.

Rome 2 has been on 33% sale for a good while now. Rome 2 is £29.99 and EU IV is £34.99/£39.99 depending on version. Though Rome 2 has been holding its placed in top few spots.

Also I would think that EU IV has benefit a lot from being in top 10. This brings extra exposure and not only just from its impending release in its climb up to no3.
