A campaign that has been running for a couple of weeks in 1.7.3 was saved on thursday in the 1.7.3 beta opt in.
The game was saved on the 2nd of Jan. When it is loaded in Art of War it starts just fine with the exception of a few provinces located where they shouldn't be. Namely colonial nations in the middle of Europe and Africa.
When the game is unpaused everything goes smoothly until the 2nd of February or March. No matter how many times we (re)convert the save or what we change, it always crashes to desktop at one of those dates, multiplayer or single player*. If we use the console to set the date past one of those, it crashes on the 2nd of the month after.
The save we started the multiplayer session from or a mid-game crash save does not experience these problems. I have opted in and out of beta 1.7.3, 1.8 hotfix and the 1.8 standard version numerous times and validated my game cache a couple of times as well. The save does the same on a number of different computers.
*Afterwards a steam restart is needed for the game to load. It chrashes upon pressing play otherwise.
