EU Implementation

The way I think would be best to implement this is to have all EU nations have RM's and TA's with each other. Also, all of the CoT's in Europe (London, Frankfurt, Milan and Helsinki are the most likley candidates) already filled with merchants from Europe and a few from USA and Japan. Because of the TA this makes it very difficult for any foreign nation to get a foothold in any European CoT. The big problem with this of course is that now with 1.07, you lose 1% efficency for every TA you have. We don't want the entire of Europe to be operating at 85% efficency! Any ideas?

Well, no Europeans are starting out on trade tech 10 (I don't think), so most likely it would be like 5, 10, or 15%!


It is true that the EU has preferential acess and tries to shut out cheaper competators from Africa and places like that. Perhaps some embargoes to richer African countries (those that are rich enough to send decent amounts of merchants) and a few ticks towards the mercantalism slider would help show that.

Yeah, this has been discussed several times (how to represent EU). So, we need to find this out quick.

I'll add it to the "to-do" list.

Also, there's a list over all CoT's in the world somewhere. Helsinki didn't have a CoT. I think Oslo had thought, and that one shouldn't be filled up with EU merchants, atleast not that much. Norway has a deal with the EU, but it's nothing like EU membership.

To put a CoT in Helsinki would've given the CoT control over alot of Russian provinces, which is wery wrong AFAIC.

Agree. A CoT in Moscow would be better.

Anyway, we decided this long time ago. I think it was beween Oslo and Gothengurg back then. Look in the oldest CoT thread, and you'll probably find it...

Stockholm do have a insignifigant little stock exchange. But I wont argue on this, cause I dont like Stockholm anyway. I just thought it was what we decided.

And the last time Gothenburg was a CoT was during the age of napoleon.

Ok. The one in Oslo isn't the biggest ever either, but, in Norway we've got a lot of Oil, so Oslo is inportant in that matter.
Also alot of Whale is being distributed there It's just Japan that eats/buys whales from Norway...

I've never ever seen in a restaurant that they serve whales... I gonna make a little event for Norway there...

imports: $32.4 billion

Sweden exports: $77.4 billion
imports: $67.8 billion


I think a CoT in sweden would be better then Norway.. adn if were going to let oil count as taxincomes then norways exports should be lessened by like 25%

also the stockholm stock exchange is the biggest in scandinavia.

If then we could make events to stop european nations from waging war against eachother

We could also make a new religion for "EU member", then the EU would have good relations and hopefully avoid much warfare.

IIRC there is no peace command, but we could create events that give EU countries a +200 relation boost every year or something to prevent wars.

This is an interesting idea, maybe we can skip C. monarchy for this?
