If you start in, say, 1630, you would most probably have Gustav II Adolf but you wouldn't get *him* if you played up to 1630.

Nor would I say yours is ancient. Most people don't have (or can't afford) a 7X or 8X - by ancient I think of an FX5200 or something, like I used to have

Well, Euros know what the game is about. And American war of independence sells better than Freedom Revolution and Napoleonic wars in USA. Whatever sales pitch generates most profit, the better, since we'll get better games and patches when they are needed. All is fair in love, war and designing boxes for computer games.

Anyway, as long as I take charge of British Isles, USA will never happen. Redcoats FTW.
