One thing that hasn't been discussed all that much here on the forum is the manual for EU II
The manual for EU is several things.
It's handy.
It's not too long.
It's full of information.
It covers almost all the aspects of the game.
One thing it doesn't do, however, is explain in detail how calculations are made, or explain all of the small tweaks and special features that are included.
There's no mention of what the tech levels precisely do, no mention of the conquistador colonization bonus, or an explanation of combat values...
To find out how these things work, you have to visit sites like Huszic's FAQ (playeruniversalis.cjb.net) or EU Province (euprovince.cjb.net), and check the forum...
This is one thing I hope will be amended in EU II...
So therefore, I'm asking the people of Paradox to include in the EU II manual all the tables and overviews, so that players can see for themselves how things like colonization succes, combat results and sieges are worked out.
Just as an appendix of tables... and for those wondering what kind of tables I'd like, check out EU Province (euprovince.cjb.net), where excellent land and naval tech overviews can be found.
At any rate, I hope others will back me in this plea for better tables explaining game mechanics.
