EU has been released in Portugal! Notice to Paradox & EU homepage where it states a "to be released"...

For all Portuguese on the forum who don't have EU or want a Portuguese copy... you can buy the game ANYWHERE! And I mean it!

who was camoens? he is listed as a conquistador, but i have never found him in any history book anywhere. The portugese are one of the most enjoyable countries to play. it has given me an interest in portugese history.

Well, unlike Flanders, Portugal IS today an independent nation. And we sucessfuly defended ourselves since 1640, not to mention earlier dates.

Actually, most of the languages of Iberia are closer to portuguese (gallego, catallán) than to castillian. But i'd be lying if I said i'd like the 'iberian dream', though . A good deal of people here still yearn for Africa, Brazil or even India.

And camoens (we say 'Camões') was not a conquistador, he IS or greatest national poet!

Guess the developers decided to include him as a conquistador because they thought we had too few of them, since he was in the military as a young man and served in North Africa and India...

(though the dates are off - Camões was born somewhere around 1517 or 1524 and died in 1579.

Actually, portuguese has over 200 million speakers and is the tenth most spoken language in the world.

9 million in Sweden, they teach it in schools in entire Finland

Dont care about how many people thats speak Portugese, but there is a hell of a lot of people here from Sweden actually.
BTW, I went to the Azores on a holiday a cuople of months ago. Broke my leg...
