The site still looks good. It provides some info since this site isnt updated that much.
Of course if a beta version was available (for those of us who are loudly clamoring for it) we'd have the fuel to start up more fan sites.

A release of a beta version to a few people (and fan websites to go along with it) or a general release of a demo would spread knowledge of EU to far more people, hopefully helping Paradox to find distributors.

Although I just have found out about this game, I already plan to build a site for it. But currnetly there isnt enough info on the game for me to be able to put anything together worth working on.
There is some thousand posts on this forum and goodies on the AAR section. What more would you want ? Tell me and I'll see what I can do.

Although the posts cumulatively provide an enormous amount of information about the game, it would be very time-consuming to someone constructing a fansite to read through all of the posts in order to find the basic rules of the game in the various areas it covers. A more organized introduction to the game that goes into a decent amount of detail on colonization, warfare, diplomacy, etc., would perhaps be of help in getting more people to notice EU.

Guys,
Some people build fan sites because its a hobby of sorts for them. If someone has the time, talent and motivation to start up a fan site, why not recognize that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Clearly, this site is always going to be far and away the best source of info for EU. The Paradox programmers post here, there are no banner ads, and this site has the greatest amount of forum content - what else could you want?

I meant something more along the lines of the site on European Wars. Please note that I certainly didn't mean to disparage Greven's work on this site or anyone else's.

You'd fit right in at the E3 convention a few months ago in LA. One of the big game sites had a whole series of pix on the celebrities in attendence. Of course half of them were either starlets or semi-supermodels. Why require a supermodel anyway, I'll settle for just a regular type of model any day.

I'm rather disappointed with the 'Cossacks' website. It's even more rarely updated than this site. It has some historical information, but it all rests on stuff people have read 1001 times. At least people here get a more wide ranging discussion. Besides which, does 'Cossacks' have a forum that can rival this?

I wasn't referring to in-depth intelligent forum discussions. This site obviously beats all comers in that department

I just thought that people who don't have the beta and want to start their own fansite now anyway presumably wouldn't be starting a forum on their own, but would instead want to put up extensive information about the game with pictures in order to attract visitors. Although there is quite a sizable amount of information about EU even outside of this forum, because the game is so extensive in its scope, the information tends to be rather vague in any one area. Of course, if they released a beta or demo to those of us who are going crazy waiting for the game, there wouldn't be any problems in establishing fansites .
