A list of common EU and general Acronyms & Abbreviations (shortened expressions) has been asked for so here it goes (if you think I have missed some feel free to add them).

BB = Badboy
RM = Royal Marriage
DOW = Declaration of War
COT = Center of Trade
TP = Trade Post
GC = Grand Campaign

BG = Board Game
CG = Computer Game
IOW = In Other Words
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
IMO / IMHO = In My (Humble) Opinion
JMO / JMHO = Just My (Humble) Opinion
RTM / RTFM = Read the (*beep*) Manual
FYI = For Your Information
YMMV = Your Milage May Vary
LOL = Laugh Out Loud
BTW = By the Way
ROTFL = Rolling On the Floor Laughing
OMG = Oh My God
LMAO = Laughing My Ass Off
OT = Off Topic
NT = No Text
IIRC = If I Recall/Remember Correctly

e.g. = for example (lat. exampli gratia)
i.e. = that is (lat. id est)

Thank you for this. If you (or anyone else) have any more game acronyms like this, please let us know. They're much appreciated by newbies like me. Actually I'm a pre-newbie because my copy is still between store and my mailbox. :)

Other general acronyms:

OTOH = on the other hand
IANAL = I am not a lawyer

and my favourite:

WTHAPUTAAIDMN = why the hell are people using these annoying acronyms? it's driving me nuts! :)

In fact it´s 'casus belli' - literally 'case of war'. Whereas 'causa belli' would mean the circumstances, which effectively cause a war, there is a usage of 'casus' in latin where then 'casus belli' would mean the circumstances where You declare war 'rightfully' or 'legally'.
